WHACK

Now that you're at my site, you may be wondering what exactly WHACK stands for. Well, WHACK is an acronym I created two years ago: We Hate Alfonso Cuaron Klub. Alfonso Cuaron is, of course, the director of the third Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Upon watching the third movie, many fans of the Harry Potter books were very upset to say the least. Not only did Cuaron "forget" to out in explanations for key points in the series, but he put in way too many things completely unrelated to the books. The Hogwarts Chorus, birds being killed by the Whomping Willow, and (of course) annoying shrunken heads. To quote Allie's PoA spoof at http://hpspoof.livejournal.com/292.html:

"Harry: What a bizarre ending...I mean I barely got to ponder that whole 'Dark lord returning' thing And there is still that unexplainable Stag-Shaped Patronus...And how in the hell did Lupin and Sirius both know about the map? Oh well...At least my face is blurry again. WHHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

However, this site is not only about making fun of PoA. It's about all the HP movies. I chose to name the site after Alfonso Cuaron for several reasons:

a) I believe that PoA is really when the movies started to completely disregard canon.
b) It's a cool acronym.
c) I got the domain name when I started this site to be about just PoA
