In 2007, Johnny's Angels raised over $5,000 for Children's Hospice Coalition – but most importantly, we started a dialogue about the many ways we ALL can help terminally ill children.

 

This is a phenomenal tribute to Johnny Depp — and to all of you.

 

Your response has inspired us.  That's why we are launching a new effort – a chance to inspire all of us to "Think Globally, Act Locally."  We dedicate this page to YOU.   Because together, we can make a difference!   Please read on...

Many of you wrote to ask if there are other ways to help that don't cost a penny. 

 

The answer is YES!  You don't have to spend much to make a huge difference in someone else's life.  In the months ahead, we will highlight those of you who are working to help terminally-ill children with your actions and your hearts.

 

Consider this as a showcase for your own local projects.  Scroll down for this month's amazing ideas.  The spotlight here is on YOU!  We welcome your ideas. 

 

We've even opened a new chat forum where you can correspond and compare ideas. 

Our hope is that one person may inspire another to try something simple, yet meaningful.

 

Please write to us if you are doing something in your local area that is helping raise awareness and hope for terminally-ill kids.  And send a picture if you can!

...there's Emily in California, whose A Box of Crayons website reminds us how much it means to bring a small token gift to a hospitalized child—some crayons, a coloring book or a toy car…

 

 …there's Lizzy in Utah, who has collected 2,093 homemade valentines from local elementary school students.  On February 14th, these hearts will be shared with all the young patients at Primary Children's Medical Center, a vast Children's Hospital that serves the needs of families in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada and Montana…  (see pictures here!)
  …there’s Diana in Texas who set up recycle bins at her office so that her co-workers’ empty cans & bottles may be turned into cash for her local children’s hospital…
 

…there’s Jackie in Great Britain whose homemade baked goods are sold at a local boutique, with the proceeds donated to the pediatric ward of her local hospital…

 

...there’s Virginia in Missouri, who has collected over 50 boxes of crayons to donate to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

 

…there's Melinda in Florida, a school librarian who installed the Goodsearch engine on all the computers in her district...

 

…there’s Lia in Germany, a dance teacher who is donating the revenue from her “Mommy and Me” classes to a local children’s hospital…
