News
September 6th 2008
This time there's more stuff regarding my website than my videos.
But let's start with news from the walkingthrough front: I finished NOLF 2 and have edited all the videos, 75 in total. Now I have started recording Mickey Mania for Sega Mega Drive, and I'll probably be uploading that after MK: Deception, although I don't know for sure yet as I might upload it at the same time with some other walkthrough, too.
What I think are bigger news, I'm really updating my website this time.
Previously the updates were pretty much just links to my newest videos. NOW I'm adding the possibility to just watch my videos straight away ON THIS SITE. No new pages to YouTube open up, the video just opens on top of the page from the link. A much needed addition to this is that pages also scroll to the top once you click the link, so you don't even have to spend valuable seconds to do that yourself. You just click the link and play the video. Awesome, ain't it!
For now this only works in a very few pages as it's only been 30 minutes since I spotted my mistake with the original code that didn't work, but I'll be adding this feature to all my video pages as I feel like it (meaning it's all done by Christmas 2009) and if you want to see how it works, the No One Lives Forever 2 video page already has this new addition in work.
Thanks for reading, and I hope that from now on you'll be spending more time on my website than before!

There isn't much news this time. I guess the biggest thing is that at the moment I'm uploading two walkthroughs at the same time, The Warriors for PS2 and NOLF 2 for PC. The reason for this is that I don't want to stop uploading my older videos, but I have to upload NOLF 2 fast because the files are larger than my normal videos and I need the space because video files recorded on PC are LARGE. I'm also going to submit my NOLF 2 walkthrough to StumpedGamer.com's video walkthrough competition.
The walkthrough for the competition must be up IN FULL sometime before the end of September (there's no definite closing date yet) and I can't risk it by uploading the videos too late.
Apart from that, I guess it's news that I updated my website a bit again.
August 23rd 2008
I've finally updated my website again. Freewebs already added their annoying ad on it as it's been exactly 2 months since the last big update and they add their ads after 30 days, but today I added all Jak 3, Fur Fighters, NOLF and 7 Blades videos that I was previously missing from the website and that horrible advertisement has disappeared.
I don't add videos very fast or often because I think most people find the videos from my YouTube playlists anyway.
About my newest and upcoming walkthroughs, I'm currently uploading 7 Blades and I should be done by Sunday if I keep adding videos at this speed.
The next one coming is my Warriors re-make walkthrough. This time it's played on Hardcore Soldier difficulty, and it has a few more videos than the first walkthrough such as the 2 exercising Coney bonus objectives, most of the radio news that come after the missions, a few example clips of the different rumble modes and the Armies of the Night minigame in full. Just like I did with the webcam version I also reached the pre-set high scores and finished ALL bonus objectives, so it's a COMPLETE 100% Hardcore Soldier walkthrough.
There was some trouble with the walkthrough, though. Some time before the movie chapters begin I lost the ability to mug and resist arrest completely (for what reason, I don't know). Thankfully by that time there was no more forced interrogation tasks, but I can tell you that "All-City" and "No Permits, No Parley" levels were a bit frightening to beat considering that they're filled with cops.
Anyway, the walkthrough's done and all is well in Coney turf.
After the Warriors comes GTA Vice City Stories, and after that the original Vice City in person. Or city.
I finished VCS for the first time ever, and it also glitched in the end so that after the credits I could not continue playing.
I hadn't played Vice city in years, but it was fun to play through it again since it's my favourite GTA game. I also added my own little touch of style to the Vice city videos to mark it as MY walkthrough.
I intended to record all the GTA games in the story timeline order, but then I suddenly felt the need to record something MY fans have been asking since... the beginning of time.
MK Deception. Sure, a lot of people have asked for GTA SA too, but those people also request it from a dozen other guys. MK Deception is what people request mostly from me because of my Shaolin Monks and Armageddon walkthroughs. I know I'm not the only one who could do Deception, but I am one of the most likely choices.
There's 18 videos of Deception done. I've done all the side missions in the Village and most missions outside, but since the story sends me back to Earthrealm later, I'll do the rest of the tasks then.
So the next world would be the Netherrealm, but we'll see when I'll get that done. I'm really tired of doing Deception and I'll be taking a break and record something else. What the next game is, I don't know at this very second. Could be ANYTHING.

First of all: No, I didn't make the Oblivion walkthrough, just like I said. I have lots of raw footage, I just didn't feel like editing it all together. But because I got the footage stored and I hate wasting stuff, the walkthrough might happen someday.
But more importantly, here's my completely unbiased look at a promising website:
If you need help with a game, or you just want to preview before you buy, there's nothing else for you to do but visit Stumpedgamer.com.
At Stumpedgamer.com, you'll find tens of thousands of videos with high-quality gameplay on platforms ranging from the VERY retro to the next-gen consoles.
The games are listed alphabetically, so most people aged 7 years and up should have no problem finding a specific title, but you can also browse by console if you don't know what you're looking for or type the name of the game in a search box if you know exactly what you want.
The website has a bright, easy-to-look-at theme and no annoying pop-ups* that most likely would just infect your PC with who-knows-what.
The forums are neatly organized and the user community is friendlier than anything, accepting anyone in their ranks. Yes, even YOU!
Also remember that the already superb website is always being tweaked to ensure that your high-class gaming needs are met, and the enormously extensive database of videos is constantly getting bigger! In addition to videos you can now find written guides if moving images bother you and you don't happen to be illiterate (you're just faking it if you can read this!).
So don't miss out on the video game webxperience of the century, JOIN NOW!
Go to
www.stumpedgamer.com
* You may need to register first to avoid OCCASIONAL slightly intrusive ads, but your PC is safe from harm and signing in removes the problem entirely
I'm usually not one to advertise websites, but I do it gladly this time. StumpedGamer.com is definitely one of the greatest video game related websites, but for some reason stupid people aren't joining and the forums are getting dusty.
I go there all the time. It's the second website on my bookmarks. So I ask you, just look at the website, and think of all the things you'll get and the good times you'll have, simply by registering there. And we all know that registering at websites and forums that don't deal with shipping stuff to your home does NOT take that long. It's quick and easy and painless as long as you don't sit on a needle.
If you're worried about the size of the community now, you better realize that it will never get bigger if everyone just waits for it to get bigger.
Do your part now!

To keep up the habit of writing something every tenth day, here's again a "bit" of "news".
After Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, I started recording a remake of my Tony Hawk's Underground walkthrough. Unfortunately I wasn't satisfied with it, so I deleted quite a few chapters and switched game.
I didn't even try when I did the original THUG walkthrough, and so I wanted to make this one a bit more professional, but I made so many stupid mistakes that I just didn't feel like editing that crap together. Overall I think I did better than the first time, but not good enough for it to be worth making a second version. I restarded many goals even when I was doing really well and for some reason left in goals I only barely completed. I noticed that when I was editing the videos and decided to just give up, so for now the THUG [v2] walkthrough will not be completed.
When I quit doing my THUG remake walkthrough I decided to do a game that I know I'm not going to finish, ever. That game is Fur Fighters: Viggo's Revenge. The reason I won't be finishing it is not that the game would be bad. The game is actually awesome, it's fun and entertaining. It's just that I find Fur Fighters to be really difficult and time consuming, I haven't finished more than 2 of the 6 areas before and I'm certainly NOT going to show people me playing it for the first time.
Here's my sad story regarding Fur Fighters:
When I got the game, I just loved it, even though it was hard. I managed to rescue all the babies in the first levels without any help and I would have finished the game entirely if it wasn't for me accidentally starting a New Game instead of Loading an older file. All my progress was deleted and I haven't even tried playing again after that.
Still, it's such an awesome game that I want to show it to people, so 12 videos of it are guaranteed. Maybe 6-7 more later on, if I don't start recording TES IV: Oblivion tomorrow.
Like I already mentioned, the next game that keeps popping up in my head is Oblivion for PS3. Maybe because I just recently started a 2nd playthrough.
There's just a few thing people should know before they even start expecting an Oblivion walkthrough from me:
Most important thing you should know is that I'm NOT even close to a pro in this game.
People keep telling me my Jak walkthroughs and some others were pro stuff (they're obviously being sarcastic), but Oblivion... it's probably the game where I cheat the most. I dupe, I CE glitch, I run away, I play on minimum difficulty, I turn invisible, I use 100% chameleon gear to beat up Minotaur Lords with my bare hands. Seriously, no pro-gameplay.
I don't have the patience to turn the difficulty to maximum, carry the best armor and potions everywhere, level up efficiently or even try to be a hero and fight every enemy with a sword and a shield. Hell no, the game takes 150-200 hours when you play on medium settings doing everything as "normal" way as you can, there's no way I could fit enough of the quest story into 10 minute videos to keep the "walkthrough" entertaining. I mean, it takes you god damn 10 minutes to beat up ONE enemy on max difficulty, so what about when a cave has like 30 enemies? Speeding up every video is NOT a solution. Speeding things up damages the entertainment value, and that's the only value I...well, value.
I think it's pretty clear already, I pay more attention to story than gameplay. If I recall correctly, I have never (except for that one Unlocking Reptile for VS vid) given actual instructions for anything in games. My few text comments have always been more like jokes regarding something in the story or dialogue, I never add help for puzzles. I'm not a guider really, even though some would say I am.
So, the Oblivion walkthrough will be more of a story than gameplay. If you need actually help with the quests, there's already videos up on YouTube for the main story and some of the guilds. My walkthrough will follow a guy named Johnny Fox, saving and occasionally killing people in Cyrodiil, doing his best to survive and earn money. Of course things like killing vampires in a cave will be added in full length, but there will be much more to the videos than just the techinal stuff like swinging a sword. I will even add bits that are not a part of any quests, in order to explain why Johnny suddenly has the weapons, armor, spells, potions and enchantments he uses in the quests. Dialogue and texts (even though occasionally boring) will be included when necessary to explain what the hell is going on, even if I have to make more videos.
Only things I will definitely cut out are loading screens and long, boring travels between locations, times when I go shopping for some trivial items like arrows and potions and efficient leveling. After getting out of the sewers I will use a moment for efficient leveling. I've already planned that I will just add a short bit of me jumping around and fighting mud crabs with a song from Rocky playing in the background (I want my share of old, overused, classic jokes).
Related to the story: I will not do the main questline first. Oh, no! The main "story" is only the tip of the iceberg in Oblivion, and since it's the "big bad main quest" it's going to be the Grande Finale (if I ever finish this long-ass walkthrough, which is very unlikely).
Also, this walkthrough will be the biggest damn project I've done in MY LIFE, considering that the game is so long and it takes like 40 minutes to render a video. Not only will I have to play, I have to plan how I'm finishing the quests and in which order (to keep the story of Johnny consistent) beforehand. That takes time.
To the people who are now ending their lives thinking that JohnnyFox will devote the rest of his life to Oblivion and stop making other walkthroughs (I hope nobody died yet): I will NOT stop doing other games!
Oblivion is like a side dish, a big pile of salad. Even though half of your plate is Oblivion, potatos and fishsticks are still available. I will upload Oblivion videos at the same time with other walkthroughs and doing Oblivion shouldn't slow me down much in anyway, considering I have like a 100 unuploaded videos on my hardrive constantly. So everyday there's both a new Oblivion quest and something else... maybe GTA IV...
No, I still got more to say (I'll probably die writing this... I hope you wont die by reading).
For a long time now, 6 months at least, I've wanted to add my own voice in my videos. I'm pretty shy (I die if I have to interact with people other than through written comments), so I haven't done that, but I promised myself that if 3 people ask me to do that, I will at least try. 3 people have done that now, so to improve (or turn into worse crap) the story of Johnny Fox in Oblivion, you will actually HEAR Johnny Fox in Oblivion. If you managed to add 1 and 1 and got 2 (or any other result, this isn't math class) you realised that I wont be doing a helpful commentary, I will actually try to sound and act like the pansy you see hiding from enemies by turning invisible. I am that pansy, so it shouldn't be too hard...
Last thing to the Oblivion fans who are overjoyed after reading the previous wall of text: I can not guarantee that I will make an Oblivion walkthrough at all. I've planned it and I've set my mind on it, but then again I've planned on writing books and directing big movies, and I'm still just a miserable loser who spends his time playing video games and occasionally writes long-ass rants on freewebs sites.

Some news about my walkthroughs again.
I have now finished GUN entirely, so it did become a full walkthrough eventually. There's 39 videos in it, and yes, I did record all the side missions. All except gold digging, as it doesn't count towards 100% and you only get some money out of it.
Another news is that I have now recorded ANOTHER full walkthrough after GUN. That walkthrough is The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, for PS2. It's extremely boring, but at least it was short and I don't think anyone else has done it before. That's pretty much what I do, make walkthroughs of games nobody else would even touch. There's 24 videos in the LotR walkthrough, so those few people who watch every video I make should be able to survive the boringness.
I'm not sure what the next game is going to be.
I've had plans of doing something a bit different for a long time now. Actually I originally created my YouTube account for everything BUT gaming videos. Anyway, 6 months ago I came up with a cool idea for something different that I don't think anyone else has done quite as I'm going to do it, but might be that I'll just wait a bit longer. And then wait a bit more. And a little more. Eventually I forget what it was that I was doing, so I'll just keep recording same old boring walkthroughs.

Ok, here's a short look at what's happening.
I just recently started uploading my new and better Red Dead Revolver walkthrough. Yes, I have made a Red Dead walkthrough before, but it was the first full walkthrough I ever did and I recorded it with a webcam. This second walkthough will have a better quality, and what people always ask me: cutscenes. All cutscenes, all loading screens, all result screens and all shop screens are included this time.
I will also be writing short guides in the video descriptions.
The next walkthrough, after Red Dead, is going to be Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back for PS1. It's NOT a 100% walkthrough. It's hardly even A walkthrough. I just played through each level and pretty badly too. The death count resembles the one from my Metal Slug 3 walkthrough, and that I played on Very Hard. I won't be doing a 100% walkthrough of Crash 2, as I find it to be really annoying to do.
After Crash Bandicoot 2 I will be uploading some GUN videos. I'm not sure if it's going to be a full walkthrough yet, as I'm now playing it just for fun. And a fun playthrough it has been so far, I can tell you that much. The videos will also have made up names, just like I used to do with my first walkthroughs.
Mar 20th 2008
Ok, here's something you can once again completely ignore.
Firstly I'd like to tell you why I have removed people from my friends list on YouTube, since some have wondered about that. I remove people whenever I find them to be annoying. When I say annoying, I mean spamming up bulletins or sending me way too many videos.
I'd like to keep the bulletin clean so that if I or someone else really needs to have their message noticed they don't have to post it a hundred times just so that someone could see it. It really pisses me off when one person sends 10 bulletins, DIFFERENT bulletins, a day stating that they're online or offline or that once again they found some video funny. I think people can very well notice whether you're online or offline based on the response they get. If they get a response, you're online, and if not, you're probably offline or just avoiding them. People really don't need to know every 30 minutes if you're currently online. Also, YouTube has hundreds of good videos, you don't need to make a new bulletin for all of them.
I'm not entirely heartless on this matter, though. If some people post I-am-online-bulletins but only do it rarely, maybe to inform that they're back after being away for days or that they're going away, or if they OCCASIONALLY post "hey look at this funny video", or if they just double-post the same bulletin accidentally, I don't immediately delete them. I just want to keep the bulletins clean. Constant, deliberate spamming irks me.
Also, I don't remove friends who sometimes send me videos, only people who keep sending 5-10 videos a day. It's likely that I don't care about your videos and I don't want to keep deleting lots of messages every day, so I rather remove the source of the problem. I do understand that people send videos to all of their friends and I might be one of them, so I don't delete people just for that. But there is a limit to what can be considered reasonable and what is just pure spam.
Another thing, I also don't do sub4subs. Friends list can be filled with bots for all I care, but I DO NOT subscribe to people who don't produce videos I like. I want to find out immediately when someone who I consider to be a good video maker posts something new, and sometimes I subscribe to people as a sign of respect for what they have done in the past, but if 95 out of 100 subscriptions are just people who asked me to subscribe for no apparent reason, it doesn't mean anything anymore. Then it becomes another useless feature, just like bulletins with spammers.
Another thing, kind of related to the previous:
Some people have expressed their concerns relating to how I treat my friends and subscribers. They say I'm too demanding or that I don't accept enough requests or that I should let others handle their accounts their way and just shut up and stick to my own channel.
Well, caring about my channel is the ONLY thing I have ever done. People can do whatever the hell they want with their own channels, they can upload and post anything they want, but the second it affects MY channel it become MY business. I don't care if someone doesn't upload anything, uploads crap, spams or subs for subs, it's his business. But I don't have to accept them to my friends list or subscribe to them or be in any contact with them, so you can just fuck off if you don't like it. My channel is my channel, I decide what goes on there. Telling me I'm an idiot for not adding people who I consider to be spammers makes you a hypocrite.
Also, I don't think I have done anything wrong to any of my subscribers. I'm poor, you can probably guess it by looking at my website, which is hosted by FREEwebs. I can't just go out and buy every console and every game people want to see when I can barely afford to buy games I personally want to play, so expecting me to do every request is stupid. I only play games that I have AND like. If you request something, if I have it and like it it jumps up in my list, if I don't like it then there's no chance I'll do it. If I'm interested to play something you request but I don't own it, I might go buy it and play it, but I can't quarantee that. So that's that, don't come complaining about me not accepting requests. It's because I don't accept requests. Not enough time or money.
Also bugging some people is how I take it for granted that people read what I write on my channel. I have the right to do so. I don't expect anyone to look at my website, I don't expect everyone to always read my video descriptions ('cause they're usually pointless anyway), but I do expect people to at least look at my channel before commenting there. I used to have my "To Be Done" list on my profile, and seemed like very few people ever read it, so I deleted it to save characters (YouTube has limits everywhere). Now it seems very few people even read the comments on my channel. I don't want to keep posting the same answer multiple times just because you can't read what the latest comment said. Closely related to this, I DON'T ANSWER TO EVERY QUESTION. Sometimes I just don't have the time, most times I just don't want to answer.
I don't know where is the best place to buy/download certain games, I don't know how to install your PC games, I don't know why YouTube ruins your life, I don't know when the newest addition to your favourite game series is released, I don't know why your console or computer is overheating or making funny sounds and I don't know what happens in the story after the game ends. You should seriously redirect your questions to someone else, I'm not the international help center, I'm a guy who plays videos games badly. Just a guy, another guy, some guy. Nothing else.
Lastly, never take offence to what I say here or on my channel if there's a slight chance it's not meant for you.
I don't write this crap angry as hell, and I don't go crying in the corner later. I write this so there would be something on my website, and at least this way there's a chance that using internet becomes easier for me if enough people see this. So if you picture an angry teenager or pissed off 30-year-old writing this in murderous rage, try to picture a chipmunk instead, or whatever else you prefer. Most times when I sound too harsh I might even be just joking, I just can't add my tone of voice to written text. So don't be scared to send me comments or anything.
But if for some reason you take this personally, then it might be a good idea to think about why you think like that.
Oh, yeah, I also added a Spyro 3 page on my site today.
Mar 6th 2008
I'll try to update my site more often, so here's another bit of news.
I'm currently uploading Mortal Kombat Armageddon Konquest walkthrough, like most of my subscribers already know.
It's 32 parts long, and I have just uploaded part 15. Even though only half of the walkthrough is up, people already seem to think it's one of my best walkthroughs so far, at least that's what all the comments and posts are saying. It's nice to hear that people like it, since I saw more trouble editing it than normally. I was even going to give up on it after the first messages I got on YouTube. Before I even uploaded the first part, some of my subscribers sent me messages that they don't want or need this walkthrough and that I'd better do something else before people unsubscribe. Well, those people don't seem to represent the majority of my subscribers.
The next walkthrough I'm making is Spyro Year of the Dragon.
This PlayStation game is one of people's favourites from what I hear, and it's one of my favourites also. It was the first PSone game I ever owned and played, too.
So far I've completed Sunrise Spring World ENTIRELY, meaning that I have collected every gem and dragon egg possible. That's including Tiki Lodge in Molten Crater level and Crawdad Farm, the first Sparx world. I've also finished Midday Garden Home, Sgt. Byrd's Base and Icy Peak entirely.
I don't know yet if I'm going to keep collecting everything and make a 100% run (or 117%), but I'll try as long as I have the energy for that. I've done it years ago, so it's not impossible, but it might prove to be frustrating later, trying to collect the very last gems from some corner I forgot to check earlier.
I also had a bit of trouble with the walkthrough already. I was editing the footage when I noticed that one of the video files was corrupted (how, I don't know) and didn't have any sound. Well, after thinking about it for awhile and giving up on the idea of just apologizing for the inconvenience and adding some background music to the otherwise silent videos, I decided to replay the game from the beginning and record the lost bits again. I didn't want to collect everything though, so in videos 17-20 the total amount of gems and eggs isn't the same as in the rest of the walkthrough. I did, however, collect all the gems and eggs from the levels I recorded again, so it shouldn't be too big a deal in the end.
Mar 1st 2008
OK, time for another update.
Since the last update, I have moved on to using Sony Vegas 7. It supports vob files so I don't have to convert anything or lower the quality, so that's all settled now.
I have also just finished recording my Mortal Kombat Armageddon Konquest walkthrough, which will be my 2nd guide fully edited with Sony Vegas. The first one was Red Dead Revolver, but I've learned much about recording and editing since that.
Due to a lot of people asking me how they could contact me other than through YouTube, I decided to again start using MSN Messenger. So, if you got some questions or you want to babble about crap, add my MSN address, JohnnyBastard1@hotmail.com.
Make sure you add that one instead of my main e-mail address, otherwise I most likely will block you. Bastard is my main messenger address because most people already know that one and since it already states that I'm a bastard, I don't have to feel bad for blocking you, if I choose to block you.
People are constantly asking me what games I'm going to do next. Well, since people don't seem to understand if I say it in my YouTube profile, bulletins or comments, I'll say it here now and hope that someday people learn to read first and ask questions later:
I have NOTHING planned yet. I'll edit my last MK Armageddon videos and THEN I'll start thinking what I could do next. I hate to plan too far ahead, since I can't be sure what game I want to play, say, a week later. I only play what I want to, people's requests and my previous plans never affect my decision when I pick a game from my shelf. Only if someone requests a game that I want to do but hadn't yet decided for sure, then I accept the request.
I don't do guides, my goal isn't to help people, my channel is not only for the people who need help with their games. That's what you need to understand first. I never decided to start making full walkthroughs, I just got sidetracked when people kept asking for more and more videos and games and it was fun to record them.
If my videos are helpful or entertaining, then good, but I don't specifically aim to please YOU.
Anyway, some games I'm CURRENTLY thinking of doing are Gun, Red Dead Revolver, Tony Hawks Underground and Jak & Daxter. Yes, I have done the last three already, but now I got a tuner so I can have better quality.
Feb 7th 2008
Hello!
As you can see, my site is mostly back online. There might be a couple of pages I haven't added again yet, but the video pages should all work.
You might have noticed that I took the animations down from the Videos page. People seemed to like them a lot, at least that's the impression I got from reading all the positive comments. I liked them a lot too, otherwise I wouldn't have spent hours making them, but unfortunately animations are a lot bigger than normal images, and so people with slower connections had to wait for a minute or two until all the images loaded, and they also drained my (very) limited bandwidth and webspace quite efficiently. So, at leats until I get around paying for my websites I'll have to stick with the non-moving game covers.
I'm probably most known from my video-walkthroughs I have uplaoded on YouTube, so this should be interesting to many of you: Last month I bought a tv-tuner card.
So far I've used a cheap Logitech webcam to record the action on my tiny Schneider television screen. It caused a bit of blurriness and some people seem to really hate blur, so I decided to get that horribly overpriced piece of recording equipment called Pinnacle Dazzle.
