1/16 - Hello hello. I wanted to remind everyone that their donations last year are tax deductable, so please take advantage of that when you have your taxes done. If you need paperwork from me for your taxes, feel free to e-mail me at bhhankes@mtholyoke.edu.
Also, I wanted to let you know that I won't be able to do another birthday project this year. College life just doesn't allow enough time. I'm rather frustrated, because I really wanted to do another one, but that's life. That being said, I would entertain the idea of helping another group do one. Or, if you have an idea for a donation and would like me to help you head that, I would be glad to. I just can't do one myself this year. Thank you to all of you who wrote me e-mails in the past months. I love hearing from you all. Now I have to go watch the Golden Globes . . .
11/24 - If you look in the "AAIA and the Letter" section, you will see that I added a new, lovely item. It's the front cover from the AAIA's Fall Newsletter. I just discovered it in the stack of mail I had here at home yesterday. Its always nice to hear from them.
11/21 - Yet another surprise. I've been asked to do the birthday project again. I probably wouldn't have considered it if one of the people asking hadn't been Ivy, one of the girls who just recently got to meet JD through Make a Wish. If I do it again, it will honor her and Johnny, and the donation will be to Make a Wish. One of the problems, though, is that the Zone will probably not let us talk about it on their boards, due to some differences between me and the administration there. So that's a lot of people to lose out on letting know about this. BUT, let me know if you're up for it. If there's enough interest, I'll consider doing it again. bhhankes@mtholyoke.edu
11/1 - Well, I didn't think I would be updating this again, but some rather interesting news has come about. A dear friend of mine who lives in England gave the cover letter from the binder to the people at Pinewood Studios. She called the studios a few days later and was assured that he was given the letter, so if that's the truth (I really hope it is!), then he knows about the project! Here's hoping he let's us know that he received the letter.
9/7- Scratch that about the new shops, I just ran out of time. Sorry! I'm up at college now, so if you need to get in contact with me, write me at bhhankes@mtholyoke.edu. Now, I have a request. We just had a . . .close call, of sorts. A friend of mine met Johnny in Venice, and gave him a letter, and saw him read it. UNFORTUNATELY, there was nothing in it about the project. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to be so close to finding out if he knows about it and not to. So, here's my request. If you would be so kind, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know if you are going to a premiere or any other event where you might meet him, especially if you are willing to be my messenger. I would appreciate it more than you know.
8/9 - A question for those of you still dropping by. Are any of you planning to go to the premiere of Finding Neverland (wherever it may be)? If you are, and you also are planning to wear something you bought through the project, can you let me know? I would really appreciate it. groovygrl85@aol.com
7/13 - Still no response. But, we probably won't hear anything for awhile, if at all. I still hope that we do, but it's a rare occasion when a person gets a response from the Depp camp. I hope everyone's summer is going well!
6/14 - Well, no response from the Depp camp as of yet. But, as they say, no news is good news. I'm hoping that I get some sort of reply by August. I hope.
6/9 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHNNY!
Share the love today.
6/8 - Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes! As you can see, I have made some huge changes to the site. The color scheme and design are different. All of the other pages have been changed and some deleted. You'll find lots of excerpts from the binder that was sent to Johnny as well as some other juicy morsels. Enjoy!
