
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)- Glen. "A Nightmare on Elm Street" was the first slasher movie with boogie man Freddy Kruger. The story revolves around a group of friends experiencing the same horrific dreams. The friends are slaughtered one by one by the predatory fiend in their dreams. The remaining friend prepares to wage her own battle against the killer by entering the nightmare.

Private Resort (1985)- Jack "Private Resort" was released in 1985. This movie was one of a rash of "sexploitation" movies in the 1980s. The movie follows the antics of two young men at a summer resort in their pursuit of women. The boys also cross the path of a thief out to steal a priceless diamond.
Platoon (1986)- Lerner. "Platoon" is a story seen through the eyes of a soldier on his first tour of duty in Vietnam. The movie demonstrates the nightmare of war and living hell experienced by the soldiers. There is a growing split between two team leaders which leads to a private war within the war between countries.

Slow Burn (1986)(TV)- Donnie Fleischer. "Slow Burn" is a story of a detective searching for the son of a famous artist. He becomes embroiled in a murder mystery after he locates the former wife of the artist who is now the spouse of a multi-millionaire.

21 Jump Street (1987-90)- Tom Hanson. "21 Jump Street" was one of the first programs appearing on the Fox Television Network. The show ran from April, 1987 through May, 1990 on the Fox Network. The show was picked up in syndication for the 1990/91 season. The premise of the program was that youthful looking police officers would go undercover at primarily schools and stop assorted crime.

Cry-Baby (1990)- Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker. "Cry Baby" is a strange Romeo and Juliet type story set in the 1950's. It's a musical about a rebel considered to be a juvenile delinquent who falls in love with a "good" girl. The movie is filled with fast cars, gang wars and sexual frustration but is strictly a satire like only John Waters can create.

Edward Scissorhands (1990)- Edward Scissorhands. "Edward Scissorhands" is a charming fairy tale of a boy created by an inventor and given cookie cutters (hugh scissors) temporarily as hands. The inventor dies prior to giving his creation real hands. A local Avon lady discovers the lonely Edward and brings him to her home to live with her family. Edward falls in love with the Avon lady's daughter, Kim. The neighbors find him amusing and accept him until a series of events cause them alarm and Edward becomes an outcast.

Arizona Dream (1992)- Axel. "Arizona Dream" is a story of a young man from New York, named Axel, who goes to Arizona for his uncle's wedding. There he falls in love with an older woman who is obsessed with flying. Axel moves in with her and they spend their time building a flying machine. Meanwhile, the woman's suicidal daughter falls in love with Axel and Axel becomes torn between the women.

Benny and Joon (1993)- Sam. Joon is a little strange: she paints, she throws objects, she directs the traffic wearing a snorkeling mask; but she is also very clever with words. Her older brother Benny, who runs a car repair shop and looks after his mentally impaired sister, is at the point of despair: another housekeeper has just left for good, driven away by one of Joon's sudden and violent outbursts. That night, Joon wins at a game of poker with Benny's friends - and she wins Sam, an alphabet and Buster Keaton fan, who she soon falls in love with.

Whats Eating Gilbert Grape? (1993)- Gilbert Grape. "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" is a story of a young man trying to take care of his rather strange family. He then finds himself attracted to a young woman temporarily stranded in his home town. He is torn between his obligation to his family and his need to be free to pursue his own happiness.

Ed Wood (1994)- Ed Wood. "Ed Wood" is a movie about the life of a director who is arguably the worst director of all time. This movie humorously tells of Wood's attempts to create his motion picture masterpiece. The movie also examines the friendship between Wood and horror master Bela Lugosi.

Don Juan DeMarco (1995)- Don Juan DeMarco. A young man in a Zorro costume and mask is threatening to throw himself from a high rooftop because of a lost love. Called by the police, psychiatrist, Doctor Mickler, succeeds in calming him down by pretending to believe him that he is the famous Don Juan de Marco, best lover in the world. Having taken him to the clinic for diagnosis and treatment, Mickler allows himself to be drawn into the world Don Juan opens up to him in their sessions, his world of beautiful women and amorous adventures, full of admiration for love and the affect it has on the world.

Nick of Time (1995)- Gene Watson. "Nick of Time", is a story about a man who is being forced to assassinate the governor of California within the next 90 minutes or his daughter will be killed by her kidnappers. The movie takes place in real time which means that every minute on the screen corresponds to a minute of actual time.

Dead Man (1996)- William Blake. Around 1860 young William Blake, accountant from Cleveland, is travelling to the Wild West to take up a job at a town called Machine. Yet, on his arrival, the events take a very unexpected turn: the job offer is gone, and Blake, penniless, at night finds himself in the room of a poor flower-girl, not knowing where else to spend the night. And this is just the beginning of a journey deeper and deeper into a mysterious and unknown world.
Donnie Brasco (1997)- Donnie. In the early eighties the USA got to know about an amazing story: FBI agent Joseph Pistone emerged from an undercover assignment of 6 years, having infiltrated and spied on various Mafia gangs, starting out in New York. Leading the double life of a father and husband to his own family, he also became the friend and member of some important and less important Mafia bosses and gangs under the name of one „Donnie Brasco" and finally suceeded in compiling enough evidence to get almost 100 of them convicted when the assignment at last came to an end.

The Brave (1997)- Raphael. Raphael is a poor Native American who lives with his wife and their two children in Morgantown, a shanty town which will soon be destroyed. He is unemployed because of a lack of education, prison and drinking so there is no future for his family. To give them a better way of life, he sells his own life as a victim in a snuff film. Living his last 7 days with his family without telling them his secret, he gives them a big feast of love and some hope about future.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)-Raoul Duke. The film based on the book of the same name by Hunter S. Thompson, chronicles a psychedelic odyssey undertaken by Thompson's alter-ego Raoul Duke and his attorney in 1971. The acid/opiate/ether-eating writer is to cover a motor bike race in the Nevada desert and a law enforcement convention at a Vegas hotel, but his drug-effused observations take center stage, proving the addage that life, compiled of perceptions and day-long minutia, is a journey, not a destination.

The Astronaut's Wife (1999)- Spencer Armacost. Spencer and Jillian were the all-American couple. Spencer was an Astronaut and two minutes of terror in space turned there lives upside down. What happened to him changed their lives in ways Jillian cannot help but question. Spencer takes a job with NASA and Jillian finds out she is expecting twins. But something in not quite right. As her pregnancy advances, Jillian descends into a nightmare. Is it just pre-partum moodiness, or is there something terribly wrong with her husband and babies?

The Ninth Gate (1999)- Dean Corso. Dean Corso is highly skilled at his work-locating rare books for wealthy collectors - a position that requires dexterity, cultural expertise, nerves of steel ... and few scruples. Corso is hired by eminent book-lover and scholar of demonology, Boris Balkan. Corso's mission: to compare Balkan's newly acquired edition of the legendary manual of satanic invocation, The Nine Gates of the Kingdom of the Shadows, with the two remaining copies located in Europe, and ascertain the authenticity of the three books. From New York to Toledo, Portugal to Paris, Corso immerses himself in a labyrinthfull of pitfalls and temptations, disturbing encounters, violence and mysterious deaths. Protected by an other-worldly creature and guided by a force more powerful than himself, the hunter solves one by one the mysteries of the dreaded book and discovers the real purpose of his mission.

Sleepy Hollow (1999)- Ichabod Crane. Sleepy Hollow was inspired by the Washington Irving classic, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The movie centers around grizzly murders in a small town in upper New York. Ichabod Crane is sent to the small town to investigated the beheadings. He is told by town's people that the murderer is the ghost of a hessian horseman who lost his head in battle. Believing that the murderer is flesh and blood, Ichabod begins his investigation and soon learns that the town's people are indeed correct that the murderer is not of this world.

The Man who Cried (2000)- Cesar. The year is 1927. Little Fegele lives happily with her father and grandmother in a Russian village. With the ever presnet threat of persecution her father leaves for America. Violence engulfs the village and Fegele finds herself in England. Forbidden to speak Yiddish and now re-named Suzie she learns to sing. Ten years later she goes to the Paris stage where she is befriended by an ambitious dancer, Lola. Suzie hopes to go to America to find her father. She falls in love with gypsy horse-handler, Cesar. When the Germans invade Paris with plans to round up the Jews and Gypsies, Lola warns Suzie that her life is in danger. Suzie wants to stay and fight but Cesar encourages her to leave.
