Welcome to Jos Wider World, my website dedicated to the reptiles I keep and some of the other interests that occupy my time.

This site was designed in conjunction with my secondary site Jos Little World, which is dedicated to my monkey tail skinks.

My name is, perhaps unsurprisingly, Jo. I currently work for Microsoft. I am fascinated by lizards, but adore animals without being (I hope) too mad-cat-womany. I love gaming, particularly Adventure, RPGs and Survival Horror - Silent Hill and the Final Fantasy games are well-loved franchises of mine, but I find that the LucasArts adventure games (Grim Fandango and Sam n Max especially) are the ones that I remember most fondly. I used to write a lot, and Im trying to get back into the habit - I actually started my newest story, which had been rolling through my head for months, in December 2006. I enjoy reading, but often fall into a rut and end up reading "The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole" over and over, as it require very little effort. When not being too lazy, Neil Gaiman and Stephen King are the two authors I would probably turn to. I love cyberpunk, and have a slight obsession with Blade Runner. Im starting to get into Arthouse, but my favourite films are still probably The Goonies, Back to the Future Trilogy, Indiana Jones Trilogy, Original Star Wars Trilogy and good ol Blade Runner. I always cry when I watch "All Dogs Go to Heaven". I usually listen to the highly ridiculed "nu" metal, but my favourite band is still U2, who I discovered when I was thirteen and still have a special place in my heart (in spite of their rather lacklustre songs of late). David Bowie is the greatest rock legend in the world, period. Im afraid of spiders and scorpions and heights over water or moving traffic. I am most angered by poor drivers, ungratefulness or selfishness and arrogance.
