Operating & Volunteering Details

The railway isn't currently operational, because we're still working on its revival. Even if it was operational, because of the of legal requirements of insurance, and the fact that the railway's privately owned, it won't be opened to the general public, only friends & family of the railway's volunteers. Though if you’re interested in miniature railways there's a possibility we can arrange a visit, please use the e-mail address provided above.

There is a lot of time consuming work involved in getting the Joys of Life Railway back up to scratch, but the quality of the original work was very good & while the tasks are not glamorous, the reward is restoring a very fine railway. We can’t do it by ourselves. So we’re wondering whether you would like to help out, if you wish to register interest please use the e-mail address provided above.
