Hi! I am going to help you build a deck!
|
If you're viewing this, you most likely want to make a deck. For those of you who have a deck already, you can upgrade it with a couple tips. If you don't think you should be taking tips from me, because you think you can beat me in a duel, you don't have to upgrade your deck. I'll just be giving tips. The first thing to do, if you don't yet have a deck, is get one. You can buy a Yugi or Kaiba starter deck in some stores. If you like, you can also build a deck from scratch. However, for beginners a starter deck is the best idea. It contains 50 cards, and you can always buy more. The Kaiba deck includes Blue-eyes white dragon, yes. But that doesn't mean it's better. The Yugi deck has the Dark Magician and Summoned Skull, both with an attack of 2500. Both decks include Reborn the Monster, and both contain powerful magic and trap cards. Once you choose a deck, read the rules, and start dueling! For those who want to upgrade their deck, I recomend at least 5 cards with an attack or defence of 2000 or over. Some powerful magic cards are: Change of Heart, Pot of Greed, Rageki, Reborn the Monster (called Monster Reborn), and Dark Hole. Also, the Swamp and Lava battleguards make an incredible team! I know: I tried it. Some powerful cards to use I have seen in battle (some I own) are: Illusionist Faceless Mage, Launcher Spider, Gaia the Fierce Knight, Curse of Dragon, Ryu-Ran, and Swordstalker. I highly advise you add Man-Eater Bug, too.

Special Decks: How to make them.

If you are a true Yu-Gi-Oh fan, you will know about Pegasus and his toons. Well, with the arrival of Magic Ruler packs, you can now build a similar deck. Of course, maybe you'd rather build a deck around a different type. no problem, as I'll go over that too. First of all, you'll need booster packs, and a good supply of cards that you intend to build your deck with. I'll use machine-type monsters to demonstrate. You should have at least 13 of them in a machine based deck. The same goes for all type-based decks. A good idea is getting a field card to power up your monsters. Now, before we go on, I must tell you something. Toon monsters require Toon World to play them, cost 500 life points to attack, and die if Toon World does. Sounds inviting, doesn't it? The plus side: If your opponent has no toon monsters in play, you can attack his life points directly. Back to the guide. Basically, you want to use magics to soup up your monsters, while usig traps to keep your opponent at bay. Each type has great cards to help it. If you are so completly ignorant you ignored everything you just read, then a great card for you is Horn Of The Unicorn. Any monster can equip it, it gives them 700 attack and defence, and goes back to the top of your deck. I own one, and they're nearly unbeatable. Well, more stuff later!
