In 2001 four young men formed the rock group Day Theory. Dave Rosin on Guitar, Morgan Smith on Bass, Jesse Smith on Drums and of course lead vocalist Joe MacLeod. For almost three years they would record albums, play countless live shows and show Vancouver what it meant to be rock stars in training. They may not have lasted as long as most bands, but when they were together, they ruled their world. Day Theory left a lifetime of memories behind and a lot of great music. Feel free to rock out.

Born into a musical family, Joe was raised with a deep appreciation and love for music of all kinds. It wasn’t until high school however that Joe began to play drums and sing in various bands with friends. In 1998 he taught himself to play the piano and released his first EP later that year entitled “Me and You”. Piano lead to guitar, and in 2000 a second EP was recorded while Joe was living in Calgary called “Please Try Again”. After moving to Vancouver and riding the Day Theory wave, Joe found himself in Toronto writing music without his former band. The result was Joe’s first full length solo album “Pink Cigarette”, written, produced, recorded, and mixed entirely by him. All three cd’s were never released officially but Joe continues to write and play music from the heart, regardless of where the music ends up.
