INVISIBLE FORCES When we contemplate the paranormal, invisible forces come to mind. Many apparitions appear and disappear to the observers eye or other senses. When no physical cause is clearly observed for paranormal occurances, invisible forces are suspected. Those of us without psychic abilities turn to known scientific invisible forces. Common detectable forces that can't normally be seen are magnetic and electrical fields. The popular EMF meter is used to give clues as to local intensity, changes, and possible correlation of those fields with paranormal occurances. Also, energy waves that are sometimes detectable by humans can be invisible because they are at frequencies out of range of human senses. Sound and light are only sensed by humans in a very narrow range. There is a universe of frequences beyond our senses that are invisible to us. TECHNOLOGY This invisible universe is the realm of technology. Sensors, instruments, graphic representations of the unseen forces, all serve to report the intensity and location of invisible forces. This information is constantly analyzed for clues to cause and effect in the visible world. The existing instrumentation was designed to measure naturally occuring forces in our surroundings. The earth's magnetic field, static charges created by moving air, sound waves created by physical motion, light and radiation from the Sun, all contain information for the scientist to discover. There is no reason that paranormal conditions of these forces can also be discovered with the same real-world devices used by scientists. While Spirits may be undetectable with scientific instruments, they may leave impressions in energy fields around us that clearly show their coming and going. INTELLIGENCE WITHIN INVISIBLE ENERGY SIGNALS An even more exciting possibility is the communication between the living and the Spirit world through these invisible streams of energy in which we all are immersed. This possibility is being explored everyday by investigators who collect EVP recordings and recover words and phrases that seem to be impossible to exist, but do. The discovery that simple recording devices can capture anomalous voices has caused popular interest in ghost research to explode in recent years. Photographs taken in invisible wavelengths of light have exposed unseen images previously undetectible by humans. Pictures are captured by video cameras trained at TV screens displaying noise patterns and static interference. Certainly, science has only begun to explore the paranormal. Joe

QUESTIONING THE NATURE OF GHOST VOICES There are conflicting theories out there about the nature of ghost voices that are recorded as EVPs. One camp says they are actual sounds in the air ...some say ultra-sonic....some say low sub-sonic...some actually have heard the voices with their ears. Almost all recordings are currently being made with portable electronic recorders with audible range microphones. These mikes respond generally to audible sound frequencies and are sensitive to that range of sound. Most EVPs are low level audible frequencies that are sometimes masked by instrument baseline noise. Special microphones are needed to respond to sub and ultra frequencies and special recorders are needed to record those frequencies. If voices are recorded at those sub and ultra frequencies they will not be audible on playback to the human ear. These recordings must be shifted in frequency to the audible frequency range. Audible frequency recordings that were not heard at the time of their recording, but appear on playback are common. These are not explained by the critics claim that they were out of audible frequency range, because they are audible on playback. This leads to the suspicion that voice signals were impressed on the recorder by other means than the response of the microphone. Another camp contains theories favored by the ITC community. Energy fields are crossmodulated with voice frequencies causing variations in electrical currents in recorders, radios, camcorders, telephones, etc., to produce the voice signals internal to the instrument circuitry. This agrees with the fact that both tape and digital recorders capture EVPs. These recorders have oscillating currents in their circuitry that have attending magnetic and electrical fields surrounding their current paths. Those fields extend beyond the plastic recorder bodies and can be crossmodulated with other signals. Because, recorders are not designed to be sensitive to outside fields the resulting voices are noisy and weak. With design improvement of EVP reception in mind, the fields that might collect voice frequencies should be strengthened to raise signal levels and be radiated with antenna technology to improve coverage and sensitivity to spirit field cross modulation. SORTING OF VOCAL SEGMENTS INTO TRUE RANDOM SEQUENCES There may be a common thread in the capture of ghost voices on various electronic devices. The random nature of white noise, random acoustic sounds, amplifier baseline noise, open channel radio/TV receiver static, randomly sorted vocal segments of recorded material, and all might be influenced by spirits. The statistical action of random noise sources could be used to arrange the random energies into recognizable words and phrases. In a recording system using random "raw material" one wonders where the voices appear and can they be separated from the random noise without distorting the voices. Filtering often "filters" the quality of the EVP recorded. A system takes in the seemingly random signals and has voice patterns impressed on them somewhere along the signal path. If the original noise is compared to the transformed noise containing the voice messages by using a differential amplifier, the unchanged noise should cancel to a great extent and the voices alone should appear on the output.
