A bit about Joanne

Joanne was born and went to school in Whitby, North Yorkshire. She attended the Redroof drama school in Berkshire, where Kate Winslet also studied. Joanne now lives in Derbyshire.

She made her TV debut playing a teenage prostitute in The Bill, before getting her big break as pregnant 16-year-old Zoe Tattersall on Coronation Street. "Originally I was only going to be in it for four episodes but it grew and grew which was fantastic for me. By the time I left I'd been in it for three years."
Her most recent roles have been in life on mars,the street and see no evil: the moors murders.
