McKinney's Classroom

My name is Julie Snipes McKinney and I teach 9th - 12th grade collaborative education. I am married to Jeff McKinney and we have two wonderful children, Ty and Anna Cate. Ty is 10 years old and attends West Blocton Middle School and Anna Cate is 8 years old and attends West Blocton Elementary School.

I am from Brent, AL and attended Centreville and Brent Elementaries, Bibb County Jr. High and Bibb County High School. After graduation from BCHS, I attended Shelton State and the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!!!!) where I received a Bachelor of Social Work Degree. I worked as a social worker for several years before returning to school at the University of West Alabama to obtain a Master's Degree in education. This is my third year of teaching and I LOVE IT! I am very excited to be a part of the West Blocton faculty. GO TIGERS !!!!!!!
