Situated in Western Kentucky we have a small herd of ADGA Registered LaManchas. We dedicate a lot of time, patience and love into our farm, family and herd. Our herd is family, but also a hobby so we offer a majority of the kids for sale each year to help keep our herd numbers down.
We aim to have every kid dam raised yet the kids are also imprinted at birth and socialized daily. The kids are dis-budded and tattooed within the first few weeks and the herds feet are trimmed regularly. We aim for breeding correct and sound animals that any herd can be proud of, both in the ring and in the milk pail.
In an attempt to ensure our animals optimal health we keep them current on vaccinations and have them on a scheduled de-worming program. We only add new stock from clean, tested herds and in return we will also implement annual testing on our goats for CAE, CL, Johnnes and Brucellosis.
Aside from just the goats, we also bale our own hay, tend to our own large garden every year, make lye soaps, goats milk soaps, lotions, bath salts, bath fizzies, linen sprays and lip balms. We also are getting more into custom embroidery work as well as stained glass art work. Here on the hill, we also have a few head of Angus cattle and have a few calves to sell each year. We have a few horses and occasionally a pig or two as well as our two dogs and barn cat. There's always plenty to do here and we stay very busy, but we love every minute of it!
