A sweet poem by my sweet, wonderful husband, Joey!

A Reason To Yet Live!

For my Wonderful Wife Juanita

The rain beats drearily against the window of my soul,

Within, my concience, gnawing like a blinded mole,

The peaceful river of darkness which I have so long craved,

Stretches before me, calling with such need that I am amazed,

I pall not before the Reaper Grim,

He is an old familiar friend,

I know, for me he doth hunger,

But wait he must, a while yet longer,

For one chain yet holds me fast unto life,

But it be a chain golden, forged with love, unto my wife,

For all her sweet love she does give,

More than enough reason to yet live!

My Life as a Sutphin!

MY HUSBAND JOEY IS MY HERO.  HE IS STRONG AND HAS SURVIVED AND PERSEVERED IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY.  HE IS A VERY LOVING, INTELLEGENT MAN WHO KEEPS ME LAUGHING CONSTANTLY.  NATURALLY HE HAS MADE ME THE HAPPIEST WIFE IN THE WORLD

I love my family, doing things for them and for my friends. I love being a grandmother although I don't get to see the children very often. I love to scrapbook, listen to classic rock, or blues, or bluegrass, or just about any kind of music. I love spending time with my wonderful, sweet, very caring husband who is also my hero because of everything he has had to battle all his life. I have two hero's. My mother is 72 and she has numerous ailments yet she maintains a wonderful attitude, and a loving demeanor. I hope someday I can be as strong as she is.

ABOUT US!

My husband and I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.  We were born and raised in Christiansburg, only ten miles from Blacksburg, home of the Virginia Tech Hokies.  We met in grade school a long time ago, and continued through school together.  In high school Joey, my husband, walked me home from school and carried my books.
