Redlight District @ Corrupted Carousel June 2008

So same general idea for this event as for the Festival of Fools, only this time around, I didn't participate in the individual member challenges. The theme of the month was Pimps and Whores, hilarious I know 
and so along with the mini-challenges, there was also a Pimp challenge. Pimps signed up, and then had to talk to 50 other members, send a survey back and forth to get to know each other and then the pimp had to make a 'request' doll to request that the whore become the pimp's whore. Then the whore would make an 'answer' doll saying yes, I'll be your whore, or no, I've already got 5 pimps. Each whore could have 5 pimps and the pimps needed to get as many whores as they could collect, and the pimp with the most would be Corrupted Carousel's #1 Pimp 
Obviously I was intrigued! So I signed up, and set out to make 50 dolls on the appointed base. Only 32 whores replied to my PMs, but 32 out of 50 is still pretty good 
For some reason, they never counted and gave out awards for the pimp challenge so all of my 44 dolls were pretty much a waste of time... 
However, I would like to say thank you to all of the whores I collected and chatted with! I did enjoy getting to know you all!!

Soiled Dove Terrace
Another section of the event was the collaboration! Members were in a group of two and each group was given a street name which they had to interpret and create a doll for. My partner was Juno, and our street name was Soiled Dove Terrace. So Juno's idea was to do a malicious man holding onto a poor tattered woman. I believe our goal was to imply rape without being too graphic, but yea, you get the picture ;) Most of the brilliance of this image is Juno's doing, my computer crashed a few days before the due-date (and us of course being procrastinators) so I wasn't able to finish my portion and she picked up the slack. All I can really lay claim to is the outline for the guy, I edited/helped refine the girl's outline and shaded the guy's hair, collar, cravat, and undershirt. Yea, whoopee lol But it came out pretty kick ass, yay for us
