The Great Base Race @ Pixel Princess August 2007
For anyone who isn't familiar with the basics of a Base Race, it is simply having a list a bases and dolling on them! You get to choose what you doll and how you use the base, as long as you use it in whatever you create. It's pretty spiffy actually, challenging because of the racing part, the first three done usually get an award, and it definitely helps hone your skills :) This base race had a total of 50 bases, and was my first experience with them, I definitely did not finish, I only got to 23, but I got some of my favorite dolls out of it, so it was worth it! 
Some dolls were rushed and reeeaaally are close to being embarrassing, but ah well *shrugs* 
So here they are! All 23 of my base race creations!

3. Doubled as a Palette Contest entry. She's a little jump rope girl I named Daisy ^_^ So cute!! | 4. Doubled as an Evil Disney Contest entry; you had to take a character from a list of Disney movies and turn them evil, so I did Cinderella with her bloody kitchen knife and evil mice friends ;) She turned out SOO well!! *proud* |
5. Doubled as mine and Juno's "Picnic Date" collab for WTM!?'s Birthday Event. I dolled Juno, and she dolled me (click to see finished collab) (Juno drew the table, I shaded it) | 6. Doubled as a Copy-Cat Contest entry, hosted by through.glass, where we had to doll her characters, or re-do the dolls she already had of them, etc etc. So I did a polaroid of her and the guy she likes (I think he's a band member *shrugs*) and yea... I like the red text, cause it looks like an actual marker wrote it ;) |

I really wish I could have pulled the shell off better but oh well, lol, at least you can tell what it is (hopefully lol) ;P | 12. Now that I've disclaimered him, lol, this is Pogue, my wolf-demon gatekeeper ^_' He normally wears a trenchcoat and has some killer keys, and I didn't do his wolf ears either... wow I'm lazier than I remember lol
