HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! 
I only got one personalized gift this year, and it was from someone I don't even know! lol It certainly made my day though, so the fact that she's planning on doing it for lots of other people is just awesome! Here's the doll Rene made me:
No other news to report really, I'm out of dolling mojo! 
I have so many ideas and plans, but alas... I can't follow through on them... *tear* It's pretty frustrating, looking back at all of my unfinished 'group' dolls, like my summer idea with all of my characters, I've finished their bathing suits, so now I just need to give them hair, props and a background... and my Christmas idea with my female characters, I've finished 9/11, including hair, but I can't seem to bring myself to finish the last two so I can post them up! oiy vay! *headdesk* ...I'm sure I'll get back into dolling again eventually, who knows, it may strike me tomorrow 
lol but either way, I'll keep you updated on stuffies that are happening, and my contests! Maybe that's how I'll drag my muse back by her hair, by forcing myself to finish all of my WIP dolls! 
Later Edit: NEW SECTION ADDED!!! All that talk of WIPs got me thinking and I decided to make a section for all of my unfinished projects, so I can 'show off' my finished dolls even though the whole picture isn't complete.

ONE MONTH LEFT FOR MY DISNEY WHO?! AND BLACK & WHITE CONTESTS!!!
NEW CONTEST!! Since the palette contest is closed and over with, we have opened our second forum-wide contest: an Artistic Vision Portrait Contest! *boogie* Simple enough, you have to create a doll on a portrait base (belly-button up) and include at least 5 of the items we have listed in your entry! So go and enter!! I think I may actually do this one too *ideas*
In other news, I've been lacking in my dolling inspiration, still tons of plans on my dolling 'to do' list, but my umph is leaving me *sigh* I've lost almost all drive for the base race, because I didn't finish Round 1 first, I guess I took too long, or my shading style is just too time-consuming... 
Yes, I'm spiteful lol :P I was so happy that I was actually going to finish one round first, because I doubt I'll be up for it for the rest of them... I wish they would have just posted all of the bases at once. Alas...
And because I'm drugged and my brain is mush right now, I had to down-size the creativeness of my super hero judge doll, so now my powers are simply that I can blend into shadows, manipulate them, travel by them, etc, so my doll is just a shadow 
Oh well, at least it's different ;P lol I think I named her Shaded Veil... again, my brain is mush so please forgive my dee dee-dee ness haha 
And the last bit of business for now, is that I finally put up my Base Race section for my new dolls :) Yay *confetti* ;P

So I've noticed that the last few dolls I've done have been *gulps* all cutesy! Not that I'm usually all about the death and gore lol, but I'm not usually a fan of pinks and pastels either 
I should have made Dinah a goth! haha
ANYWAY... nothing really to update... just wanted to share my lack of enthusiasm for my recent palette choices [later addition] I forgot! I'm going to be one of the judges for Kiara_Wood's Super Hero Pageant! 
*woo* So now a super hero doll is also on my to-do list. I'm thinking of being The Human Sponge or The Panhandler LMAO My power(s) will be super learning (read anything once and know it, see something done once and know how to do it, etc) in addition to the ability to absorb/learn others' power(s) just by being around them (like Peter on Heroes 
) As powers go, it's probably a bit selfish, cause you basically get all the powers in one... but Peter and Rogue get away with it... (yes I know Rogue doesn't keep most of them, but its still her power... :P) But yea, so I figure since I'm 'taking things' from people, The Panhandler fits *shrugs* I want something unusual and creative and The Hustler was a bit much, so I dialed it down a notch lol I guess we'll see though... [/end addition]

Updated goals list: I'm working on dolling ALLLLL of my characters in chibi form (some of them have never been dolled and it sux, so I'm fixing that finally...) and so far, I have 10/22 finished! And they're coming out so well so far...! *excited*
I have joined in on Mirror of Illusions' base race. It's the usual 50 bases, but there are also 50 themes, one for each base, so that's a nifty twist to keep things interesting! And so far, I've got 1/50 finished!! *woo* lol
GloomyCherub is also hosting a few contests that I'm particularly interested in, an artistic vision St. Patrick's Day contest, and a Sailor Moon Villains contest! Both of which, I have started working on...
Haven't gotten any further with Juno's generated character contest entry, or through.glass's pageant, however I am still fully intending on entering both! Another reason deadline's are so lovely...
The only contest I'm giving up on entering is mouldyCat's generated character contest... not completely written off, but it's definitely been moved to the bottom of the list... *shrugs* Down there at the bottom of the list with it is Yellow Rose's Fav TV Show contest; If I can gather a bit more inspiration, I'm planning on dolling Chuck!
I've just been reminded of Juno's Base Edit contest as well... I have my idea for that one too, but it's going to wait till most of this other stuff is completed, unless inspiration grabs me by the scruff and shakes me half to death!
NOTICE!!! SMIRK's Palette contest only has two more days until it closes! If you're planning on entering, it's now or never people! 
Did I mention the Miss Dead Pageant? Totally into entering that one, but I'm not usually good with blood, missing limbs, zombies, etc so I'm going to have to work up the funk to push myself through the new challenges... *crosses fingers* I'm thinking I'll either be beheaded or buried alive... unless I can think of a more interesting way to die... one I could actually portray well enough through pixels... *sigh*

SURPRISE!!! I've decided not to go through with most of those contest/goals on the list in my last update *uber sarcasm* Definitely no time, or inspiration, for the Miss Doll History, so I scrapped that idea... Juno's closing her PJ Party contest because no one's entering, so I figure, what's the point *shrugs* and I'm not going to get around to my Disney Princess entry before she closes that one as well... 
I finished my example for my new Alice in Wonderland contest, which is now up and running!! *hint hint*
So on the ever-shrinking good news list, lol, I'm still planning on entering Mouldycat's generated character contest, and PBP's pageant (so many wonderful ideas for that one *excited* ) and Juno just opened a new generated character contest of her own, so I'm almost done with my entry for that one too! I believe I will try keeping my goals list smaller so that I'm more likely to actually succeed in finishing them all from now on...

Well so much for two more days lol I took a few days sabbatical from dolling ;P But I finally finished them and voila! *points to sidebar* Aren't they purrrty?
But *ahem* Let's see... nothing else new really going on... I'm planning on entering Miss Doll History, I reserved Jane Austen and Betsy Ross so we'll see how far I get with those... I'm hoping to get around to my Alice in Wonderland example so I can go ahead and open that contest before the end of the month... and the rest of my 'to-do list' is pretty much contests too:

Dude! Crazy ridiculous, I know, but there ya have it! I don't know how/why I won 2nd place, but I guess the judge(s) just have different criteria than I do lol I didn't even see myself in the top four but I'm not complaining! ;)

Scratched the Mini Base Race plan, not enough time, and definitely not enough inspiration, to follow through with it *shrugs* I have picked up a few contests that I'm planning on entering though, so I'm doing pretty well with a 'to do' list lol But as for right now, I'm almost done with my Pink Hair Pageant entry! *woo* 
I'm doing all seven categories, so I'm getting one done a day, which is pretty good for me! Just two left now, so hopefully in the next two days it'll be all done and put together! 
I opened another contest: Disney Who?! where the mission is to doll one of the side characters that never get any attention. :) Normal rules and such, but you have to reserve who you want to doll before submitting your entry, since there are so many choices! 
I've gotten a bunch of reservations so far, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they all actually enter. ;P
In other news... yea, there really isn't other news... So until I finish my next project... I'm out!

Decided to give the Mini Base Race over at Pixel Princess a try, but I seem to be creeping back out of another dolling phase *sigh* This time around there are only 25, but considering I usually get about one doll done a week... yeeeaaa... so we'll see. But on that note *points to the sidebar* I finished #15 lol I made her for my Black & White Contest that I just opened *woo* Randomness really. My train of thought --> Mini Base Race --> Base #15, Sabraelle's Garden Misc bases aren't shaded and I was trying to think of something I could do with them so that I wouldn't have to shade them --> Have been planning on opening a Black & White Contest for a while --> I could use the unshaded bases for the example for my B&W Contest since it would probably just be a shadow person anyway --> BOOM! Doll! haha This, of course, all went through my mind in like 5 seconds, but you get the point! ;P lol I wish I was snazzier with shading, because her hair is a bit flat for my taste, but nothing I did seemed to help with that *fail* Oh well though, at least it's only an example, and not an entry
ANYWAYS...! I've been trying to push myself into jumping all over my links page, it needs to be coded, reorganized, and I have loads of new links to add so yea... that and my Sister page for Juno. Oiy vay. I wish I could just *POOF* it's done, but that wouldn't be any fun, now would it?! LOL

It's so fucking awesome I just really can't even get across how I sit and stare a begin to drool LMAO It is like whoa badass though, check it out!

Finally finished revamping the site! Now I just have a bunch of perfectionist, OCD, tedious crap to get around to, and then all I'll have to do with my life is doll! lol
ANYWAYS...! Since I just got back into dolling after so many months of nada-ness, I was looking around for a contest to enter when Juno brought to my attention a My Little Pony Contest! You find a pony that 'inspires you' and you either doll the pony (personified) or create a doll from whatever inspiration the pony gave you... I, of course, go the personification route and, of course, I couldn't choose just one, so I'm planning on dolling a bunch of them, two of which will be entered in the contest, and so far I've got one done! *woo* (seen yonder >>>) I chose to do Mimic! Isn't she awesome?! And this is what the pony looks like. :) Pretty spiffy, eh?
Other than that though, I've been trying to finish up a bunch of series of dolls that I never finished, and since I find myself in that predicament quite frequently, I've been thinking about opening a page in my dolls section for dolls I've finished but don't want to post until the whole 'set' is done... it'd be better than hiding all of these finished single dolls away on photobucket So if/when I can get around to that... keep an eye out :) And also for more My Little Pony dolls! *excited nostalgia*

I think I'm officially back into my dolling phase! *dances* So lots of ideas for the coming months! Make sure you keep an eye out for new dolls, contests, and maybe even my first original layout!
I switched up my template here on freewebs cause I've just been seeing too many other doller's with the same swirly template; the down side of not having your own layout... But hopefully I'll be finishing up all of the 'in progress' projects I have sitting on the side as well as all of my new ideas, so 2009 should be a spectacular year for me! Hope everyone else's year is going well so far too!

Nothing much going on with me lately, dolling-wise, so nothing really to update. I did want to let you know that I am spring cleaning my photobucket accounts, so any broken pics you see on here should be fixed shortly! Sorry for any inconvenience.
I started a Christmas collage of all of my girl characters, but it's not done yet, lol, so whenever I get back around to them and finish, I'll post um up here for y'all to see! 
Won't be Christmas anymore, but ah well lol
Other than that small project, I haven't been dolling, and though I randomly get ideas and almost make it around to starting something new, it never happens. *shrugs* Hopefully soon... I'll keep you posted

Sweet geezus! Two months have gone by and nothing to show for it *tear* I, sadly, believe I am falling into another dolling void, so there may not be many updates in the following months. Very sad, considering the holidays are coming up and it's always the most fun time of year to be a doller But ah well, we'll see how it goes... and on more official business, I'm happy to report that SMIRK IS FINALLY OPEN!!! Juno, Niz, and I created a contest forum from the simple idea of teal and grey LOL So voila! It should meet all of your contest forum needs ;) hehe and I hope you will take a peek and enjoy!

Omigosh June is finally over! And looky what I've got!! Lots of new emotes for SMIRK of Juno and my new character Jasper I figured we made um, so I could double them as my site emotes too ;) I got all of my pimp dolls done and since the deadline isn't until the 7th of this month, I'm still waiting on about 11 replies but other than that, I've got 31 out of 51 whores!! 
Muahaha! So wish me luck! In other news, SMIRK is almost ready for its grand opening, we're just waiting to finish the banner and it shall be done! *dances off*

Alrighty, I'm shelling out pimp dolls faster than you can say 'who's your daddy' I've only got 16 more dolls to go and then I have a Sailor Moon collab I'm involved in on CC, then it's back to getting SMIRK up and running and THEN it's back to finish updating my site *pet pet* I just found out the gif monster ate my doll buttons *grumbles* This month has been extremely exhausting

In a month I usually would have expected more to get done, but alas. I got all my shop stuff up *dance* but still no adopteds *poo* I played around with my home page (as you can see ) and have updated my "newest dolls" :) And unfortunately I believe it will be at least another month until I can fully continue updating and moving all my shit over here because CC has a race going on this month, to see which pimp can get the most ho's! So I'm racing against 8 other dollers to collect the most whores (thus the explanation for the whorish dolls yonder >>> lol) Not to mention Juno, Niz, I are working on opening our own contest forum 
so yea... Oh! And I finally got a CBox (points in bottom right corner) if you wanna comment on my site or something random, put it there *grin* Every time I update my site, I will put a note in there with the date so you'll know I'm at least active, even though you may not see any big changes/updates, and even though I may not write anything here or have new dolls :) *runs back to pimp hideout to continue recruiting*

I believe I have mostly everything up now. I made some new links for my site I moved all my dolls over and I'm just finishing transferring shop stuff, and adopteds. And I have a new contest up! Slow going, but that's what happens when you're a neurotic, OCD, perfectionist and you decide to move your whole website -_- lol The links are pissing me off, I check the box where it says 'open in new window' and it does it the first time I click on it and then forever afterwards it opens in the same window *cries* So I recommend right clicking and opening in a new window yourself if you want it in one. :(( And though at first glance Freewebs knocks the pants off of Geocities, I'm beginning to wonder which is really better... I think they're pretty even, they just rock in different areas *sigh* But I started this cocamamy plan, so I'm going to finish it!! Rules, Contests, About Me, and Links are up! The site is born!!! *breaks champagne bottle on home page* I decided Geocities' ads were getting on my nerves, and I can't afford my own paid domain yet, so this is the next best thing. I'm working on a new layout for my site (I've only been an 'active' doller for a little under a year, so I am just now deciding on my themes and *points at title* my official site name ;) so my previous website was pretty basic and nothing fantastic) so until I finish it and work out all the kinks this place will be messy, but hopefully organized in the least. One day I will complete my spiffy layout and I will be proud, until then, this is what I have to offer, enjoy ^_^
The day has finally come! *epic music* I'm leaving Geocities behind (my dolling site is leaving, not the rest of my website... yet) and moving to Freewebs! I'm working on a new layout, which I'm sure I've mentioned before, and it won't be done for a while, that's true, but until it is finished I wanted a new home, without the annoying ads on the side that take up so much room -_- So update your bookmarks people! As far as my progress on the site goes, I believe I am going to retire the cute little sleeping ponies... *sad sniffle* I will leave them on the adopted page for the links to sites, but as for the updates... yea... I finally decided on a new theme for the site! *happy dance* It's going to be a little complicated to complete and it's definitely going to take a loooong time but when it's done it's going to be soooo>>> wondrous! ^_^ Woot! I've been trying to think of a new name as well... but I can't seem to find one that just screams at me "Oo! Oo! Pick me! Pick me!!" lol so we'll see how that goes... *sigh* Other than that, I'm finally getting around to adding more dolls (original, contest, gifts, base race, and shop items), not much but I just realized there are still some from a while ago that never got added *hand smack* Bad Aurora. :P I updated my links page, got rid of some broken links. OMG!!! >.< It's been so long!! I'm pretty good at keeping my dolls and such updated but updating this section always seems to bring out the procrastinator in me! Sooo... I've been going through a sort of doller's block phase so my productivity has slowed *sigh* Luckily my shop has pretty much been dead, lol. I hate it when shop people take SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO damn long to get orders done! Like some people haven't updated in months and it says it's open! WTM!?!?! Oiy, anyways, lol, I'm meeting people because of my shop and making semi-acquaintances and friends so it's all good! ^_' But let's see, the only new things to update are a few new awards and adopted (though I haven't gotten around to posting the latter so they're marinating in my 'adopted' folder on my desktop, lol) A couple new shop orders are in and yea... that's about it. I'm working on three contest entries at the moment and it's slow-going. But after that it's Sanura's contests and then I'm taking a break from contests for a while! Maybe I'll finally get dolls of all my characters! hehe Alrighty then, I guess that's it for now! Captain Kayos, my new friend, gave me an award for pixel of the month for my license plates at WTM!? so I'm feeling proud! Then the second is a gift from her to me! She's stalking me! I told my mom and her exact words were "Why is that a good thing?" Haha good times! I love her characters and the colors she uses... ah I could go on forever so I'll stop! ^_' I LOVE MY NEW GIFTS!!! *dances*
And now for my latest project! Three dolls in one! Muaha! lol This is for a Your Character Pageant Contest so here's Danai in her casual, winter, and formal outfits! ^_^ Look Navar came to life to help warm her up!! *grin* lol I love how they came out, but I think the winter one kind of overpowers the other two haha, oh well *shrugs* Oo Oo! And look at my fur!! *love* *proud* These came out better than I thought so yea, wish me luck in the contest!

But seriously, today (last night w/e) has been extremely fruitful for me and my dolling stick ^_^ I finally finished the goose I was commissioned to do:
Not as good as the original, obviously :P but good enough *shrugs* I'm proud of it so yea, that's all that matters I guess, lol. I also finally finished my sister response doll for Sanura:
The second one is the one she sent me first, so the first one is my response... we've been over this already haven't we? lol Moving on... Next we have another contest entry, this time for a Mascot & Muse Masquerade so I dressed Babaigh up all pretty-like and entered her! ^_^
I'm so proud of how she turned out! *beam* I especially LOVE her mask!! *glow* And yes, again, I know she's supposed to have blue bangs but they threw off her outfit so she dyed them for this formal occassion! Don't worry, as soon as she can get her hands on blue dye again they'll be back to normal! ^_' OoO Speaking of contests, get this bullshit! The Dance D'Amour contest has been canceled *cries* I worked so hard on that entry and now it's just *poof* useless! *tears flood room* No thanks for trying token or a Sorry I suck apology award :(( Nada! Hmph, I see how it is! *walks off grumbling*

Alrighty, I've got three new dolls this time! I am unfortunately one of those people who starts a doll and then I get to a point (normally the hair) when I just don't feel like finishing it, so I've been finishing/restarting some dolls/ideas and therefore new dolls galore! ^_^ What a joy it is though to only have to work on the last part and then be done so quickly! ^_' lol ANYWAYS first up we have my lastest contest entry, for a 7sins Contest! I chose to doll Wrath first (I'm also planning on doing Greed and maybe Sloth) and she came out PERFECT!! *grin*
I usually associate colors with the seven sins, red is Lust, pink is Sloth, purple is Wrath, Vanity is blue, Gluttony is orange, Greed is yellow (gold w/e), and Envy is green, obviously, lol. However, some people argue that red should be Wrath, but me being me, I argue back that red is for Lust and that "you can't" use a color twice (silly me haha) BUT I found a way to work both purple AND red into Wrath: red hair! ^_^ Muahahaha! It was a revelation when it occured to me, lol so I'm EXTREMELY happy how that worked out! The symbol on her shirt is Chinese (I believe) and it means wrath/anger, and I thought that was nifty ^_^ I love this base and I've been admiring it in my base folder for some time trying to think of something to do with it and finally this comes along! I couldn't pass up such an excellent chance! lol Aahh I'm so proud of this doll! LOL And my mom was the one who gave me the idea for the quote! I was worried that people would think it was a wee too mean but in the end I said screw it, I think it's hilarious and if anyone decides to take it personally that's their problem! *nods*
Next we have a sort of continuation to my Arro plushie! First it was him as a plushie, and now it's Babaigh snuggling the plushie! What a circle of fun! lol check her out:
I could not for the life of me get her hair right, so you'll have to just accept it like I had to *pouts* lol But this is her "outfit" so I'm glad I finally got that dolled! ^_^ And yet again, I think Arro came out tres perfecto! *proud*
And last but certainly not least, my favorite doll to date!!
CAKE OR DEATH!? I LOVE EDDIE IZZARD!!! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ That's one of my very favorite parts of his stand ups and it just came to me when I was looking at this base wondering what to do with it! LOL And they came out SO WELL!!! (I'd say perfect but I think I said that 5 times already in this update, hehe) This doll got rave reviews on WTM!? *head grows* ^_' I can't even express how much I love this doll so I'll stop! lol
Now the last order of business: my signature. I just like using signatures, it makes me feel special, like a real artist *daydreamy eyes sparkle* lol but so yea, I decided to change my signature. I started with this:
Aurora, obvious reasons for using it, it's my dolling name :) (sometimes I would just use the A if the doll was small, etc) but it was just too bulky and was sometimes so big it attracted too much attention away from the doll itself, so I came up with this:
It spells out Katie (my name, lol). Pretty crafty, eh?! *wink wink* lol What I like the most about it is that you can't tell what it says, or that it even says anything at all! Muahahaha! But yea, so it's smaller and more... signature-like LOL Ok, I talk to much, I know, shut up. Fine I'm leaving, but I'll be back soon with more dolls! *peers and points* You mark my words!! :P

I'm addicted to snowglobes! LOL Sanura made a dancing base for me since I couldn't find one I liked for the Dance D'amour Contest so here's my entry and another one for her as well! ^_^
The entry had to have certain things included, I included dancing, red, stars, moon, lyrics, and lovers! ^_^ And Sanura's gift is going to be an example for my shop at WTM!? where I'm planning on selling custom snowglobes and lisence plates! *grin* I hope to animate them soon so keep an eye out for those as well! ^_' Now I'm off to work on my entries for Sanura's 7sins contest!

It's for a Touch of Rainbow contest! You had to doll using any color from the rainbow but the main color had to be black! Pretty nifty :) I also did her in purple, but you'll have to go see that for yourself :P OoO and it was my first time doing wavy hair! *grin* Not the best, and actually it's pretty shitty but to me it's gorgeous haha! ;P Then I re-colored my snowglobe for another palette contest! No one's entering the other one and I don't want my beautiful snowglobe to go to waste *pouts*
Pretty eh? ^_' I love it! And now I'm off to work on my million other contest entry ideas! *skips off humming*
