Thank you for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy all you see.

My name is Jinny Holt and I am a self taught artist. I always enjoyed painting and drawing but it is only in the last three years I have found my passion for art again.

Two years ago I started doing 'encaustic art'.

Encaustic means to 'burn in', it is an art process of melting coloured waxes with a variety of heat tools and painting them on different mediums. The main heating tool is an iron. Yes ladies, an iron! I much prefer to iron wax than clothes. Other tools include, stylus (soldering iron) hotplate, hairdryers and heat guns......... Before I had some of these tools, I used an old hairdryer and even my oven hob!

I also love painting in acrylics and sometimes watercolours too.                 

Most recently I have got into making and swapping A.T.Cs(artists trading cards)

I've not as yet got into oils, but I dare say I will have a go one day.
