Alright, so this is my portfolio. I'm really just using it to store stuff, images ect. But for my friends who come, I want to give you the whole experience. Ok, so my name is Jilian. I got the nickname Jilstar from my friend, Brooke, an awesome chick from New Zealand.
Our silly
[and by silly, I mean über awesome] math teacher put us together in math a couple years ago, and now we're closer than sisters[and he regrets it too!]. So although I don't really like nicknames, I accept 'Jilstar' into my life, and now I end up using it for just about everything. It's kinda funny to see how I've changed. So anyways, I've been doing graphic design and coding for about three years now, and although I'm not the best,
I'm very proud to show what I've achieved.
I always give my full effort, and I've noticed that my graphic design skills are even haunting me
outside of my home! Now every time I go grocery shopping, I have a horrible feeling in my stomach when I see my cart all messy and aesthetically
displeasing and I will literally stop the cart on the side and take
5 minutes to rearrange everything until it all looks pretty!
:D One of these days I'll take a picture for you :]
So yeah, that's me.
And although my friends think I'm a little neurotic sometimes [because I tend to be extremely overwhelmed with stress], I think I could be slightly normal. xD Don't click that red 'x' yet! What I mean is, I'm different, but in a similar sort of way. So while you try to wrap your brain around that paradox, I will walk you through a day in the life of Jilie:
My day basically starts at school. Although I would enjoy sleeping in more than waking up early in the morning, I admit it is really refreshing to go someplace surrounded by people and so much stimulation! So I wake up, get dressed and have breakfast. Then I go outside and wait at the bus stop in freezing cold weather until the bus comes. Then I sit in the corner seat, reveling in the warmth, until the bus gets extremely loud and I'm forced to turn on my ipod [which isn't such a travesty after all] until the bus stops at my school. Then I stand around with my friends by the 30's hall until the bell rings, run immediately to my history class, and exclaim "Oh my
God! It's
so warm in here!", take off my coat, and get my brain working.
Then I go to spanish, the class which I somehow do extremely well in, but I don't think I have ever really studied for it! I like my class a bit, but there's this one guy who sits next to me who drives me crazy every day! He's a Sophomore, about half my height, blonde, and obnoxious like you would not believe. But I somehow get by. Then there's Chemistry, third period. I love that class, I love it, love it,
love it! Something about that class just makes me really happy! I mean, when I understand something, it almost literally clicks! :D I can't help but smile when that happens, and it seems to happen a lot. I sometimes have to cover my mouth to keep from smiling, because hey, wouldn't you be a little weirded out if you suddenly looked up and saw your student beaming at you? Fourth period is English, which I would have to say is the most fantabulous class ever! Well, it's tied with Chemistry on that level. It's such an amazing class and I can't even begin to describe how much fun I have. [and I actually learn a lot too! *gasp* don't tell anyone!] Fifth and Sixth periods are pleasant. I T.A. for a really nice English teacher I had last year and then it's video. Seventh is... manageable. I have math. I enjoy math, I really do. The teacher's nice. I can grasp the concept, but I go to that class and feel a little bad that she tries so hard and we tend to be a little... shall I say, unresponsive?
Anyways, that's my school life...which you'd think would segue into an interesting home life...but it doesn't. I don't really have a schedule. It's mostly computer...studying...computer...sleep[if I'm lucky]. So that's pretty much it for now! :D
...so how am I supposed to end this thing?
...awkwaaaaaaaard... xD
