MORTAL KOMBAT DECEPTION
Originating in Netherrealm, she is a demon who has found a means of escape, a holy sword. For each demon in Netherrealm she kills with the sword it brings her one step closer to escaping the Netherrealm. If she can kill a powerful demon such as Noob Saibot her freedom is guaranteed.
About Ashrah
Despite having the appearance of an attractive woman, Ashrah is actually a demon from the Netherealm. She was once a member of Quan Chi's Brotherhood of the Shadow, which worshipped the fallen Elder God Shinnok. Ashrah dresses completely in white and appears as a tall, mysterious woman, a blend between aristocracy and innocence. She made her first appearance in Mortal Kombat: Deception. Within the Mortal Kombat series, she is something of a stand-alone character, jumping back and forth between the forces of good and evil. Her occupation is that of a demon hunter. Ashrah's weapon of choice is her Kriss, which is a type of sword that is similar to the Dragon Sword that Liu Kang used in Mortal Kombat 4. This weapon is believed to have been "blessed" or is of a "heavenly origin." The kriss is blessed in such a way that every demon she kills with it causes her to become more human and less demon like; this way she can leave the Netherrealm.
One day, Ashrah refused to carry out one of Quan Chi's orders. In response, he sent her sister (a fellow member of the Brotherhood of the Shadow) to kill her. While escaping her would-be assassin in the Netherealm, she found a holy sword known as a Kriss. As she learned how to wield the blade, slaying Netherealm demons with it, Ashrah began to recognize that with each one she killed, the sword progressively cleansed her spirit of evil. She then resolved to liberate herself from her inherent malevolent nature by using the Kriss to eliminate the evil within her. Each demon that she slays brings her closer to her goal of purification, and consequentially, her eventual expulsion from the Netherealm, as that dimension cannot sustain anyone with a soul containing such purity.
She has allied herself with Shujinko in the past, teaching him demon slaying techniques. At one time, she came into conflict with Ermac, mistakenly considering him to be a demon, and attempted to kill him, only to lose. She realized that Noob Saibot, being a powerful demon, would enable her to complete her ascension if he were to die at her hand, and so she seeks to destroy him.

He led the attack against Liu Kang's Shaolin temples. Baraka belongs to a nomadic race of mutants living in the wastelands of the Outworld. His fighting skills gained the attention of Shao Kahn who recruited him into his army.
Mortal kombat gold
Ever the nomad, Baraka has spent much time wandering many realms. Whilst travelling back through Edenia, he is made an offer to rule the realm at the side of Quan Chi. Eager to return into battle for any cause, Baraka accepts, but has a different idea of how things will turn out.
Mortal Kombat Deception.
Originating in Outworld his race is the mutant hybrid of Netherealm and Outworld Species called the Tarkatan. Joining forces with the Dragon King. He now serves as a loyal Warrior, occupying Outworld with his Tarkatan hordes.
Baraka was introduced as a mean, unforgiving, and unpredictable warrior in service of Outworld emperor Shao Kahn in Mortal Kombat II. The race he belongs to, later revealed in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, is that of the Tarkata, a nomadic crossbreed between vile Netherealm creatures and denizens of Outworld, apparently populating the vast wastelands of Outworld. Baraka, like most other members of his race, possesses long blades extending from his lower arms. Although he has had numerous incursions with the Earthrealm warriors, he appears not to have any particular rivalry or hatred towards Earth or its inhabitants. He fights for those he calls "master", but invariably plots his own path to power. His nasty, deformed and brutish appearance has made him a fan favorite throughout the series.
In the events leading up to the second Mortal Kombat tournament, Baraka led the attack on the Shaolin Temple of Light in Earthrealm, which spurred Liu Kang to seek vengeance in Outworld as predicted by Shao Kahn. During the ensuing tournament Baraka partnered with Mileena to overthrow Shao Kahn and rule Outworld, but canon states that their plan never came to fruition. Mileena was murdered and Baraka was sent away to the lowlands of Outworld. Their second chance at obtaining power, after Mileena was resurrected during the events of Mortal Kombat Trilogy, failed as well.
Following Shao Kahn's fall from power after Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Baraka escaped and spent time traveling alone. In the time before the events of Mortal Kombat Gold, Baraka encountered the necromancer Quan Chi while wandering through Edenia. Quan Chi offered Baraka a chance to rule the realm at his side if he agreed to join the army of Shinnok. Eager for battle, he readily accepted. Once again Baraka planned to betray his new masters, but after Shinnok was utterly defeated, his opportunity was also lost once again.
During the events of Mortal Kombat: Deception, Baraka found yet another new master in the risen dragon king Onaga, in whose strength he had great faith. Freeing Mileena from her prison, Baraka recruited her to Onaga's ranks. She posed as Princess Kitana, using her position to misdirect the Edenian forces into combat against the Tarkatan raiding parties, well away from Onaga. This was intended to give the dragon king the time he needed to complete his schemes.
Baraka appears in multiple Mortal Kombat: Deception endings. Oddly enough, Baraka's own ending relies on three other endings to take place: Bo' Rai Cho's, Mileena's, and Sub-Zero's. In Bo' Rai Cho's, Baraka's forces are routed by an invigorated Bo' Rai Cho, and is himself beaten by the old master. Mileena's ending actually coincides with Baraka's, saying that she invited him to the Beetle Lair, and killed him here. However, in Baraka's own ending, he actually sends a double in his place to meet with her, and later kills Mileena himself. Sub-Zero's ending states that he is surrounded by a bunch of Tarkata's that Baraka sent.

talk about your life. The mysterious Outworld elemental known only as Blaze had long been on a quest throughout the realm. For many years he has remained submerged beneath the molten rock of the incubation chamber as 'Guardian of the Egg'.
Blaze is an elemental of Outworld (not to be confused with the gods) that embarked on a mysterious quest. The details of Blaze's quest are unknown to date. As his name and appearance suggest, Blaze has some control over fire, though the extent of his abilities remains a mystery. Making his first chronological appearance in Mortal Kombat II, Blaze was visible only as a burning figure in the Pit II background, fighting a character fans have since named Hornbuckle. Many years later, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance featured Blaze as one of its secret characters, along with Mokap.
The mysterious Outworld elemental known only as Blaze had long been on a quest throughout the realm. During his quest, an ancient sect of holy men still serving the long dead Dragon King ambushed him on a bridge. The holy men enslaved him through mystic incantations and forced him to protect the last known Great Dragon Egg. For many years, he has remained submerged beneath the molten rock of the egg's incubation chamber as its guardian.
However, during the course of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, the chamber of the egg was infiltrated by Cyrax, Nitara, and Reptile. Nitara used Cyrax to reach the chamber, where she separated the vampire realm from Outworld before leaving. Reptile, however, came seeking revenge, and found only the dragon egg. At this, it hatched, sending the essence of Onaga into Reptile, making him the vessel of the returning Dragon King. Blaze was finally freed once the dragon egg had hatched. He then resumed the quest he had undertaken before being subdued by his captors.
At the 2006 Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E³, Blaze's in-game biography for the upcoming Sony PSP port of Deception entitled Mortal Kombat: Unchained, was revealed. Having existed for millenia, his quest had been to monitor the strength of the world's warriors. Blaze's creator (mentioned as being female) had foreseen that should they become too powerful, they would threaten existence itself. It was thus Blaze's role to call out, awakening his creator's sons once this time had arrived. One of these two brothers has apparently awoken prematurely.

MORTAL KOMBAT DEADLY ALLIANCE.
During the years that Shang Tsung sponsored the Mortal Kombat tournaments on Earth, the Outworld master Bo' Rai Cho was secretly training warriors for competition. It was even speculated that it was he who brought the fighting style of Drunken Boxing to Earthrealm. After many years, he finally discovered the Shaolin monk Liu Kang and taught him the martial arts moves he needed to defeat Shang Tsung. Later, with the tournament securely in the hands of the Shaolin, his teachings were no longer needed and he returned to Outworld.
Mortal Kombat Deception.
Originating in Outworld he is great teacher. Now as appointed commander of Kitana’s Allied Outworld armies his initial campaigns against the Tarkatan hordes does not go to plan but its not over yet..
Often thought to be the worst Mortal Kombat character ever created, Bo' Rai Cho embodies the archetype of the drunken master. He is portrayed as a physically obese, yet jovial and compassionate man who teaches martial arts, and has trained many students over a span of many years. He enjoys drinking alcoholic beverages, particularly the rice wine of Earthrealm. His preferred method of fighting is Drunken Fist, which he invented. He is known to use unorthodox methods of fighting, including crude tactics such as vomiting and flatulence. The archetype of the drunken master exemplifies the proverb "appearances can be deceiving". Outwardly, the fat, drunken, and crass Bo' Rai Cho does not appear to pose a threat, but he uses this illusion to take advantage of unsuspecting foes. He is revered for his great knowledge of martial arts and his fighting skills, and when necessary, is capable of commanding armies.
A native of Outworld, it has been revealed that Bo' Rai Cho has taught many great warriors, including the Great Kung Lao, Shujinko, Liu Kang, Li Mei, and Kung Lao, although he did not appear in any games until Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Because he is originally from Outworld, he never entered the Mortal Kombat tournament, as it would have meant competing on the behalf of Outworld and thus the brutal emperor Shao Kahn. Instead, he used his fighting prowess to train Earthrealm warriors, not becoming directly involved until the Deadly Alliance of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi emerged.
Upon hearing that his student, former tournament champion Liu Kang, had been murdered by the Deadly Alliance, he took Kung Lao under his wing and taught him the "whirlwind kick" technique, so that the Shaolin monk might slay Shang Tsung. While a group of Earthrealm warriors prepared for a frontal assault on the Deadly Alliance, Bo' Rai Cho himself secretly entered Shang Tsung's palace, and escaped with the body of his student Li Mei. He regrouped with the other Earthrealm warriors, led by Raiden, and retreated to safety rather than join the attack.

He is playable, but only by selecting one of the other seven male palette-swapped ninjas (Rain (purple), Reptile (green), Noob Saibot (black), Original Sub-Zero (blue), Ermac (red), Scorpion (yellow), or Human Smoke (grey)) and holding a certain combination of buttons. This combination is "Away"+"High punch"+"High kick"+"Block"+"Run" regardless of platform. The character then becomes Chameleon, and switches between the seven ninjas randomly. Upon winning, Chameleon will flash through all seven colors rapidly during his victory pose.
Chameleon may be part of the Saurian (aka Raptor) race, of which Reptile and Khameleon are members, but this has never been conclusively stated in any game, and is purely speculation on the part of the fans at this point. If in fact he is a Saurian, that would mean that Reptile is not the last living male of his species, as is thought to be the case.
Chameleon is similar to Reptile's first Mortal Kombat form, in that he has no moves of his own, but rather has the moves of the ninja he is emulating. Where Reptile was named for being green, Chameleon was named for his color changing and camouflaging, similar to a real chameleon.
It has been confirmed that he will make a return in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, in that Midway has hinted that the "color swapping ninjas" will make a return, which points to both Khameleon and Chameleon. Also, in a recently released select screen, Chameleon appears to be in the first row of selectable characters between Ermac and Noob Saibot. Chameleon is also pictured in the updated "full cast" render for the game.

MORTAL KOMBAT 3.
MORTAL KOMBAT GOLD.
Cyrax is finally rescued from his desert prison by the Lin Kuei. The physical damage sustained while in the desert was relatively easy to repair, but Cyrax seems very different from when he first set out on his original assassination mission against Sub-Zero. Only time will tell how well Cyrax has overcome his ordeal.
.MORTAL KOMBAT DEADLY ALLIANCE
The cyborg ninja Cyrax regained his soul with the aid of Special Forces agents Sonya Blade and Jackson Briggs. In return for their help, he joined the Special Forces Outerworld Investigation Agency and become a scout in the realm of Outworld. On his last transport to that realm, a reptilian creature ambushed Cyrax. His arm console was damaged in the struggle and with it his Inter-realm portal technology. He defeated the creature, but will have to find some other means to return to Outworld.
Making his debut in Mortal Kombat 3, Cyrax was the second of three cybernetic ninja. Designated unit LK-4D4, he was assigned to hunt Sub-Zero for the Lin Kuei clan. He was one of the more popular characters in MK3, due to his net and color being somewhat reminiscent of the then-absent Scorpion. Of the three cyborgs, he has to date become the second to recover his humanity.
In Mortal Kombat 3, Cyrax was working for the Lin Kuei clan, an organization of ninja-assassins who employ conventional martial arts, technology, and magic to eliminate opponents. He appeared alongside his partners Sektor and Smoke, and was ordered to track down and kill a renegade member of the Lin Kuei clan, the younger Sub-Zero. This Sub-Zero had disagreed with the decision to convert all its members into cyborgs and left the clan, and was thus marked for death by the headmasters.
During the invasion of Earthrealm by Shao Kahn and his minions, Sub-Zero defeated Cyrax and reprogrammed him with orders to destroy Shao Kahn. However, Kahn was defeated by the other Earthrealm warriors before Cyrax had a chance to do so. As a result of his reprogramming, he awaited new orders, and when these never came, he malfunctioned, wandering and eventually becoming mired in the middle of a vast desert. In Mortal Kombat Gold, Cyrax was recovered by the Lin Kuei clan, and repaired. However, he appeared somehow different than when first constructed; whilst the short-handed clan again sent Cyrax into battle, his fellow cyborg Sektor was assigned to monitor him.
After Shinnok's defeat, it became apparent that Cyrax had begun to experience flashbacks of his former life. Special agents Sonya Blade and Major Jackson Briggs (Jax), brought him to the Outer World Investigation Agency (OIA) headquarters, and used its technology to restore his humanity. Grateful for their help, Cyrax joined the OIA as a scout in the realm of Outworld.
During the events of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Cyrax became stranded on Outworld. His arm console, which allowed him to return to Earthrealm, was damaged in a surprise attack by Reptile orchestrated by the vampire Nitara. He managed to drive off Reptile, but was later ambushed by the Oni Moloch and Drahmin. After driving the two demons off as well, he finally encountered the Nitara, who offered to help him return home in exchange for his aid in recovering a lost artifact. They travelled to the underground chamber that housed the egg of the Dragon King. There, Cyrax submerged himself in the lake of molten lava and discovered the object that Nitara desired; the orb that would separate her world from Outworld. With it now in her possession, she honored her promise to Cyrax and used her mystical necklace to open a portal, sending him back to Earthrealm.

Daegon will make his first appearance in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon as Taven's brother and primary competitor.
The Konquest Mode in Armageddon revolves around a contest between Daegon and his brother Taven, set by their father, the Protector God of Edenia. They are sent to Earthrealm and are kept in incubation by two dragons until Blaze calls for them to be awakened, and the contest to begin. The task is simply to find and defeat Blaze, using a weapon found in their father's temple on Earthrealm. The victor will succeed their father as protector of Edenia and will receive a prize fit for an Elder God.
Recent screenshots revealed in magazines have shown a character who looks identical to Taven, but bald, to be a selectable fighter. Many reasonably speculate this man to be Daegon, as it is now confirmed that he will be a playable character in Armageddon.

MORTAL KOMBAT Deception.
Making his debut in Mortal Kombat: Deception, this Seidan guard-turned-mercenary is neutral, and he fights alone. Dairou usually gets the job done as quickly as possible, but there might be some honor left in his cynical heart.
He was once a highly respected Seidan guardsman, much like Hotaru, but he was imprisoned when he attacked and killed the man who he was led to believe murdered his family. In Deception's Konquest mode, Dairou is hired to free Shujinko from prison. In the present, he has been hired by Darrius to and steal the constitution of Seido and also given another contract to kill Hotaru. His game ending depicts him as achieving the latter of these goals, but it will not be known for certain until the upcoming Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, where both he and Hotaru are slated to make reappearances.

MORTAL KOMBAT Deception.
Darrius made his debut appearance in Mortal Kombat: Deception. He is an ambitious, calculating, and unscrupulous character whose intricate schemes further his own ambitions. To his followers he is a revolutionary and visionary, and to his foes he is a terrorist.
A former Seidan Guardsman who became disillusioned with the oppressive nature of Seido, the Realm of Order, Darrius leads a resistance movement which seeks to overthrow Orderrealm's senate. He takes advantage of the strict laws of Orderrealm to manipulate individuals into joining his movement. One tactic is to have a Guardsman's family murdered, who will then retaliate and be expelled from the Guard, thus ripe for induction into the swelling ranks. Others joined him of their own volition, such as the cleric of Chaos, Havik.
During Deception, he hires fellow former guardsman Dairou, recently turned mercenary, to steal the Seidan government's most prized possession, the Declaration of Order, a scroll depicting its laws. It is also speculated that Darrius hired Dairou to kill Hotaru.
Though not explicitly stated, the similarities between Dairou's background (Slaying the man hired to kill his family and being thrown in prison for it), and Darrius's method of recruitment seems to imply that he was the one to order the killing of Dairou's family.

Origin: The Netherrealm
Alignment: Evil

Weapon: Iron Club
MORTAL KOMBAT Deadly Alliance .
Drahmin made his debut in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance as one of two Oni, demons of the 5th plane of the Netherealm. He wields an iron club, mounted on his right arm. The mask he wears is an artifact called the Face of Kun-Lo. Wearing it allows him to control his rage and fight with his disciplined Netherealm style. But removing it causes him to go into Oni style, where he loses his focus and attacks with murderous insanity.
Drahmin was not always a demon. Centuries ago, he was a cruel human warlord in Outworld. For his crimes, he was exiled to the Netherealm where his body and soul were to be tortured for all eternity. As the years dragged on, he fell further and further into insanity until his humanity was lost all together. He eventually accepted his fate and submitted to the power of the Netherealm. He re-emerged from the Netherrealm depths as Drahmin: the Oni Tormentor.
The two Oni known as Moloch and Drahmin are reluctant allies. They roamed the 5th plane of the Netherealm in search of damned souls to torment. After many centuries the two demons came upon a battling Scorpion and Quan Chi. Quan Chi, sorely pressed by Scorpion, pleaded for aid from the Oni. Drahmin and Moloch intervened and drove off Scorpion. Demanding payment for their services, Quan Chi agreed to liberate them from Netherealm. The Oni agreed, and they led the sorcerer to an ancient structure rumoured to be a gateway to other realms.
Quan Chi studied the ruins and discovered that it was a dormant portal, and could be used with Shinnok's amulet, now in his possession. Suddenly, Scorpion attacked again and Quan Chi took advantage of the distraction to activate the portal and escape from the Netherrealm. The portal had not yet closed before all four managed to pass through. The two Oni found themselves in Outworld, with Scorpion and Quan Chi nowhere to be seen, enraged by the sorcerer's betrayal.
Now free, Drahmin and Moloch began searching for Quan Chi. They scoured the wastelands and killed all they encountered. Before their encounter with Shang Tsung, they encountered the cyborg Cyrax and Li Mei, both of whom escaped the Oni's clutches. Shang Tsung found the pair after he and Quan Chi had formed the Deadly Alliance, and employed them as a safeguard measure against any treachery from his partner. He kept the Oni hidden beneath his palace and paid the Oni with both mortals to feed upon and the promise of revenge against Quan Chi.
While waiting for their opportunity, the Oni once again encountered Scorpion. This time, the demons overcame the ninja spectre. Knowing that they themselves were unable to destroy him, they instead disposed of him by throwing him into the soulnado.
Drahmin's ending from Deadly Alliance did not become canonical, and no information regarding his current fate was given in Deception. Along with nearly every other playable character from the series' past, Drahmin is slated to reappear in the upcoming game Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.

MORTAL KOMBAT Trilogy.
Ultimate MORTAL KOMBAT 3.
Making his official debut in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Ermac has been a controversial and mysterious character in the Mortal Kombat series, whose existence was rumored since its inception. It is now clear that Ermac is an amalgam of many souls destroyed in Outworld's wars who came to be controlled by Shao Kahn and his shadow priests. Due to the sheer concentration of souls within Ermac, he possesses the gift of telekinesis, and can travel to different realms. However, the depths of Netherealm drain his powers and souls, weakening him dramatically while there.
He made his return in Mortal Kombat: Deception, where he was not only free to choose his own destiny, but also a force of good. To prove this, he decides to help Liu Kang in his own quest.
Ermac is an entity composed of legions of dead souls, dispatched in meaningless wars; the manner in which the souls fused into Ermac is unknown. Shao Kahn, after learning of his existence, brought Ermac under his control, finding his vast skill and telekinetic powers of use. On one mission for Shao Kahn in the Netherealm, Ermac became acquainted with Shujinko, and was assaulted by Ashrah, who believed him to be a demon.
Ermac served as one of Shao Kahn's greatest warriors, participating in the invasion of Earthrealm (as recounted in Mortal Kombat 3). However, after Shao Kahn's defeat and subsequent loss of power, Ermac remained under Kahn's control, and wandered Outworld without instructions. During the events of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, the wandering Ermac was found by the blind swordsman, Kenshi, and freed from Kahn's control. To show his gratitude, Ermac taught Kenshi the art of telekinesis.
Ermac's newfound freedom meant he was also free to choose his own destiny. He decided to repent his earlier ways and became a force for good. After making this decision, he met a warrior soul who, like Kenshi, understood his suffering. This warrior soul was that of Liu Kang, and was not only in need of another ally, but assistance in freeing his enslaved comrades. Ermac was eager to help Liu Kang, as this was an opportunity to help him atone for the evil he had committed in Shao Kahn's name.

First Appearance: Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance (2002)
Origin: Born in Earthrealm, ancestors from Outworld
Alignment: Evil
Allies: Unknown
Foes: Sub-Zero, Sonya
Fighting Style: Tang Bei or Yuan Yang
Weapon: Daggers
Frost made her first appearance in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance as an apprentice to Sub-Zero, taking the character archetype of the overly ambitious fledgling. Her dedication to fighting and learning is overshadowed by her arrogance and hostility towards anyone she perceives to be greater than her, including her own sifu, as well as Sonya.
After Sub-Zero became Grand Master of the Lin Kuei clan, he held a tournament in order to recruit strong warriors. The victor was Frost, whose exceptional skills impressed him. Breaking Lin Kuei tradition, Sub-Zero took her as his protegé and trained her personally. With his assistance, her ability to focus her freezing power increased. However, as her skills grew, so did her arrogance. Sub-Zero was unable to teach her humility.
When Raiden requested Sub-Zero's assistance in defeating the Deadly Alliance, Frost's training was cut short. Sub-Zero brought her along with him for assistance, hoping at the same time she would attain perspective and enlightenment through the experience of actual battle. After meeting with the other Earthrealm warriors (one of which was Sonya, who did not get along with Frost), she accompanied Sub-Zero into Outworld.
Once there, her true intentions for joining the Lin Kuei became apparent. Desiring to become Grand Master of the clan herself, she immobilized Sub-Zero with a freezing blast, and tore the Dragon Medallion (an artifact which enhanced Sub-Zero's abilities, as well as the symbol of Lin Kuei leadership) from his chest. Without the strength and discipline required to control the medallion's power, she was consumed by her own freezing ability, seemingly killing her.
At the 2006 Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E³, Frost's in-game biography for the upcoming Sony PSP port of Deception entitled Mortal Kombat: Unchained, was revealed. Some time after Sub-Zero's departure, Frost awoke, miraculously alive after all. Realizing she was still in Outworld, and that Sub-Zero had left her for dead, reclaiming his medallion in the process, she swore to make him pay.[1]

MORTAL KOMBAT GOLD.
Fujin is Earthrealm's God of Wind. After the events of Mortal Kombat Gold, he became Earthrealm's new protector, succeeding Raiden, who had earned his place as an Elder God. He appears as a tall, ageless, muscular human with long white hair bound in a ponytail, and glowing white eyes. As expected, he has a great variety of wind-oriented attacks at his disposal (of particular note is an immense tornado he uses in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero). Although more indifferent and abstract in character than Raiden, Fujin is also concerned with the fate of Earthrealm.
Fujin made his first chronological appearance in the spin-off game Mortal Kombat Mythologies. He appeared here as one of the four guardian Gods who protected Shinnok's amulet, and was the first of the gods that the elder Sub-Zero bested in order to acquire it (he is seen being torn asunder by his own tornado, but survived the ordeal).
He would remain inactive until the events of Mortal Kombat Gold, one of the few remaining Earthrealm gods not destroyed by Shinnok. He joined Raiden in his battle against his old enemy, assisting the Earthrealm forces in emerging victorious. After Shinnok's defeat, Fujin consulted with the Elder gods, who revealed to him that he had a new task. Raiden appeared before him, and informed him of his own impending ascension to the pantheon of Elder Gods. Earthrealm would be in need of a new protector, and Fujin was the one Raiden had chosen. Fujin accepted the position, and promised Raiden he would not fail him.

MORTAL KOMBAT GOLD.
Goro was introduced in the very first Mortal Kombat game as the sub-boss, where he was infamously very difficult to defeat, much more difficult than the final boss Shang Tsung (much like Motaro); not only did he inflict more damage with each hit than the other fighters, he also moved faster. He is the Prince of the Shokan race, hailing from the Kuatan realm of Outworld. As a General in the Outworld Emperor Shao Kahn's militia, he fights for the pride and glory of his people.
Years later, during the time of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, the united Edenian and Shokan forces attacked the weakened Shao Kahn's armies. Exhausted from battle, Goro was struck from behind and mortally wounded by Noob Saibot, apparently dying from the injury.

MORTAL KOMBAT Deception.
Hailing from Chaosrealm, Havik is a cleric of Chaos. Neither good nor evil, his ambitions are to spread discord, and he will ally himself with those who can seek to further his ends, regardless of their goals. He is known to be a frequent troublemaker in Seido (the realm of Order), and is heralded as a hero by the populace of the Chaosrealm, where he has formed an alliance with the revolutionary Darrius. He opposes the Dragon King, Onaga, who rules by order.
Seeing Onaga's return and plans to unite the Kamidogu as a possible threat to the "never ending turmoil of life", Havik made his way to put a halt to the schemes of the Dragon King. Along the way, he encountered a severely wounded Kabal, who had just been defeated by the Red Dragon Mavado. Healing Kabal's injuries, Havik manages to convince Kabal to restore the former glory that the Black Dragon clan once possessed in the name of anarchy. He did this in order to promote chaos in Earthrealm.
Havik, along with Kabal and his new Black Dragon recruits, Kira and Kobra, ventured into Outworld. There, Havik revealed his plans: lure the heroes into a battle with Onaga, and, once the Dragon King had been defeated, take down or distract the victors of the battle long enough so that Havik could get close enough to the body and consume Onaga's heart, which granted Onaga the ability to resurrect the dead. By consuming the heart, Havik desired to gain this power. Havik lured the heroes to the Dragon King as planned, so that he could put his own schemes into motion.
