 Perfect '10

This section highlights our classmates who are doing fantastic work. This week we're spotlighting Katie Collins, who was recently appointed the new Senator for the Class of 2010.

If you'd like to nominate someone, click the link below.

A Brief Encounter with Katie Collins.

1. What's your major?
    International Studies and History.

2. What are your favorite parts of being a Hopkins student?
My professors. I'm a geek, but my academic experience here has been unparalleled, and my professors have enabled great discussions in class and valuable learning that has defined my undergraduate experience.

3. What student groups have you been involved with?
The Foreign Affairs Symposium, Phi Mu, Refugee Youth Project, Blue Key, Amnesty International, and the Newsletter.

[ Though she doesn't mention it, Katie was just appointed as the new Senator for the Class of 2010. Congratulations, Katie!! ]

4. Why did you apply to be SGA senator for the class of 2010?
Nerdy as it sounds, I wanted to be on SGA because I love Hopkins, and Student Government is a way I had not yet gotten involved in campus life. I thought trying this out would be a valuable experience in service.

5. Name a famous person you've met.
Barack Obama, back before he was cool and famous.

6. What's your favorite flavor jelly bean?
I don't like jelly beans at all.

7. What's your favorite place on the Hopkins campus?
    Gilman 500

8. Pose a question for our next Perfect '10 nominee!
    Name an unacknowledged Hopkins tradition.

*  If your nomination is chosen by the Class Council, the nominee will receive a Perfect '10 T-Shirt as a gift.
