EXPECTATIONS

  • Awarding Points. There should be points awarded for class participation (i.e. giving answers, even if they are wrong. As long as the student tries they should be rewarded for participating.) Those who receive an O on an assignment should get +5 points and the first person to turn in an assignment and pass it shall get +5 points.
  • Docking Points. Acting up from students should have house points docked. Smart-alec remarks also deserve points docked.
  • Grading. We use the standard grading system. Each assignment must be graded according to that.

    O- Outstanding
    E- Exceeds Expectations
    A- Acceptable
    P- Poor
    D- Dreadful
    T
    -Troll

  • Quills. No one is to be awarded a quill if they receive a final course grade of P or below. Only O, E, and A receive quills. Any student receiving a final grade of O for the course should be awarded 100 house points!
  • Extra Credit. This an optional lesson. Anyone who completes the extra credit assignment and passes it will receive their final grade upped by one full letter.
  • Blackboard. It is expected from each professor to set up a blackboard in their area for class announcements. Make everyone aware of class rules, expectations, grading and any other important information here.
  • Homework/Participation. The review/homework assignment can be either an exercise, Q&A or multi choice. I'll leave that to discretion of the professor. This should be what you derive the student's lesson grade from, as well as if they participate in class. Each student should post at least one time in every class and this should be checked off in the grades section.
  • Notebooks. Each student should have a personal notebook for their class to put their work into. This proves they actually did the work! This is also where we update their grades.
  • ETC.- If you fall inactive in my course and fail, you will not be allowed to take any course of mine, or in my department in the future.  This class moves fast so please keep up!
