20 "Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning. 21 In the Tent of Meeting, outside the curtain that is in front of the Testimony, Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps burning before the LORD from evening till morning. This is to be a lasting ordinance among the Israelites for the generations to come.
The Israelites were asked to bring pure olive oil
to be used in the lamps inside the sacrd tent.
These lamps were to be kept burning all the time.
Our lives, as lights, should be kept burning at all
times, too. Certainly we get tired, sick and
tragedies strike our lives. But no matter what
comes our way, we can keep glowing with the
light of God's love. He will provide the oil for us,
but let's be sure our lamps are full.
Quality is Better Than Quantity.
I call to remembrance my song in the night;
with my heart I meditate and my spirit
searches diligently.
Psalm 77:6.
God cares more about the quality of what
you learn than the quantity of teaching
to what you are exposed. He would rather
you read one scripture verse and get
revelation out of it than to read two
whole books in the Bible and not have
a clue about what you have red.
Listen for key messages that The Lord
is specifically speaking to you when you
hear good teaching through television,
radio, sermon tapes, a church service,
or a weekly Bible study. Ask God to show
you how to apply what you hear to your
own life. Meditate on His word each day and
look for ways to use what you have learned.
Then you will know what you are engaging
in and enjoying true quality time with Him.
Father, We thank You that You have given us
lessons in abundance in Your word. All we need
to know is written, all the things to get us
through life. Let us draw nearer to you each day
in Your word. Let us learn something of You each
day from Your word of life.
Giver of life we thank You.
Amen.

But when I say to the wicked, "You will surely die,'
and he turns from his sin and practices justice and righteousness,
if a wicked man restores a pledge, pays back what he has taken by robbery, walks by the statutes which ensure life without committing iniquity,
he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of his sins that he has committed
will be remembered against him. He has practiced justice and righteousness;
he shall surely live.
Ezekiel 33:14-16 NASB
