StartingYour Day Right.

Posted by carersunite@hotmail.com at 07:43 AM on July 11, 2009

Some people seem to start their day on, "the wrong foot."

They feel alright when they wake up, but as soon as

something goes wrong they lose their footing and walk

with a,"losers limp." the rest of the day. Once they

are off to a bad start, it seems they never catch up.

If someone offends us early in the morning, our

anger can keep us on the defensive all day.

If we start the day by rushing, it seems we never

slow down. But today our feet can be firmly

planted in God's Word. There will be no,"bad day."

when God's word supports strengthens and

directs us.

When I said, "My foot is slipping, Your mercy and

loving- kindness, O Lord, held me up."

Psalm94:18

Lord help us each day to come to You from when we

open our eyes, before we even step out of bed.

We ask, that You keep us from rushing too

quickly into the day and miss what You are

telling us to do. Guard our tongues Father against

saying the wrong things, even in jest, once

some things are out of our mouths, we cannot

take them back. Let us each day do someone

a kindness, even a smile, or a greeting.

Thankyou Father that You hear our prayers

and that You know our hearts even as we pray.

We Love You Lord, and ask these things in

Your Holy Name.

Amen

Ezekiel 33:14-16

But when I say to the wicked, "You will surely die,'

and he turns from his sin and practices justice and righteousness,
if a wicked man restores a pledge, pays back what he has taken by robbery, walks by the statutes which ensure life without committing iniquity,

he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of his sins that he has committed
will be remembered against him. He has practiced justice and righteousness;
he shall surely live.
