A short biography
David Walliams was born on 20th August (ten days after my birthday) in 1971. However, at this time, he was not known as the Mr. Walliams we recognize today. But, David WILLIAMS, this is because he later had to change his surname for equity reasons. He is currently best known for the hit BBC television series called LITTLE BRITAIN, which he co-wrote and performed with fellow comedian Matt Lucas (AKA George Dawes) as well as Tom Baker, Paul Punter and Tony Head.
Little Britain
The comedy series Little Britain first started as a radio series on BBC Radio 4 portraying the ordinary lives of comedic characters that live across their version of Britain. The show was then was later commissioned for a television series on the BBCs digital channel BBC3 in 2003. This first series of the television programme soon gained a new fan following and was broadcast on terrestrial (BBC2). The second series became such a ratings success on BBC3 (receiving their highest audience figures ever) the show was broadcast on prime time Friday nights on BBC1 as well as BBC America and BBC Australia. 2005 and 2006 sees the show movement into a live performance touring across the UK.
