What Christmas Means to me- Jessica Simpson
Takes a few moments to load...Please be patient!
Biography
Jessica Ann Simpson was born to Tina & Joe Simpson on the marvelous day of July 10, 1980, in
good ol' Texas. I'm not sure what city, because some sources say Dallas, and some say
Abeline. As a little girl, Jessica was always singing, especially with her younger sister
Ashlee who was born 4 years later on October 3, 1984. Their dad, Joe, was a minister, so
they always went to church, and the girls sung in the choir. When Jess was 12 years old,
she tried out for the Mickey Mouse Club, but didn't make it because little Christina
Aguilera went right before her. (Now that I look at it, if Jess went to the MMC, she would
have been just like Britney and Christina. Boy, would that have been scary!!) A couple years
later, Jessica came out with a gospel album which did pretty good. That was the start of her
singing career.
Jessica signed with Columbia Records in the late 90's. Her debut album was titled 'Sweet
Kisses', and came out in 1999. Her three hits were "I Wanna Love You Forever," "I Think I'm
In Love With You", and "Where Are You," which are cool songs. Then in 2001, 'Irresistible'
hit the scene, and she was really getting noticed. She started touring, and she
guest-starred in 'That 70's Show.' Soon she met the love of her life, Nick Lachey. When they
were seperated in September 2001, the awful day came. 9/11. Jess was so scared, and that's
when they realized they couldn't be apart. On October 26, 2002, they got married.
Soon after, the best show, Newlyweds, aired on MTV and was a BIG hit!! It is a reality show
about Nick and Jess' lives. There were unexpected moments, like the whole tuna and buffalo
wing ordeals, but that's Jessica.
Jessica Moments can be seen here!!
Now that Newlyweds is over, you can buy the seasons on DVD. Jessica is a busy girl! She just
did Dukes of Hazzard, her clothing line, Dessert and Dessert Treats, and now she's recording
her next album in May/June of 2006. Nick is going to have a show, and he's going to record another
album as well. Jessica Simpson is truly a role model, and has come to be a huge pop star,
actress, cosmetic and fashion designer.
UPDATE: As of November 23rd, 2005,(not even a month after their 3 year anniversary) Nick and Jessica have finally, sadly, parted ways. For her fans, it was unexpected. They were thought to have a great relationship despite rumors. A week later, Jess is doing OK, and now this is a new chapter in her young life. Who knows what's next??
Sweet Kisses-
Released on November 23, 1999. This was Jessica's debut album. Instead of trying to be like Britney and Christina, she took her own route. She was a sweet girl who didn't need to wear revealing clothes to tell people she had talent. Her biggest hit on this cd was "I Wanna Love You Forever." The world got a good first look at her powerful voice that impressed many people.
Irresistible-
Released two years later on June 5, 2001. Since Britney and Christina were really big in skin showing, Jessica had real competion. She lost weight trying to compete with them, but she couldn't take it anymore. It was too overwhelming. This was a good CD though, with the hit being "Irresistible."
In This Skin; standard edition-
Released another two years later on August 19, 2003. One of her best albums yet, many people started to recognize how good of a singer Jessica really is. This album is mostly written by Jess, and it reflects her married life to hubby Nick Lachey. Full of emotion, this CD was an instant hit. The biggest track was "With You."
In This Skin; bonus-
Re-released on March 2, 2004, this version of her hit CD includes new versions of "Take My Breath Away," "Angels," and an acoustic version of "With You." Also with this CD came a special DVD of Nick and Jessica's wedding, and scences from Newlyweds. This new version became a must-have to Jessica fans.
Rejoyce: The Christmas Album-
Released on November 23, 2004, just in time for the holidays. This Christmas album is filled with classic Christmas songs, with a little twist, and modern sound. Truly some of the best Christmas songs I've ever heard! Her album is great, and is always a best seller around that special time of year!
And the Band Played On...-
Planned to be released in May/June of next year, it's going to be a highly anticipated CD. "These Boots Are Made For Walking" will be on the CD, along with lots more songs that are sure to demonstrate her awesome vocals. It is sure to keep her fans wanting more. I can't wait until she starts touring!
