For as long as I can remember, enjoying and weaving stories has been a hobby and passion for me. As a child, I would spend hours, creating cardboard sets, costumes and elaborate stories for my fashion dolls or reading, losing herself to the authors’ fictional worlds. As soon as I could hold a pencil, I started scribbling snippets or creating pictures of my fictional worlds. At the tender age of sixteen, I wrote my first ‘romance novel’ - all twenty-three pages.
A native of Eastern Canada, I graduated from high school, then went on to study business at university. Instead of venturing into the working world, I married and had three children, preferring to stay at home with them, filling my days home schooling as well as volunteering as a Brownie leader and Music Trainer for Girl Guides.
During this time, I discovered the internet and connected with writers - both fledgling and published – and I decided to make a disciplined effort to complete a full-length novel. My first writing success came when the local paper serialized one of my novels for their sizzling summer romance promotion. It was so well received they requested a second novel for the following summer.
Although writing is my primary passion, chocolate is a close second – especially dark Belgian.
Some of her other interests include playing the piano and flute, hoping to one day perfect some of the lovely Celtic tunes that she likes to listen to when she writes. Also, I love cooking up favourite treats for family and friends and taking walks along the granite pebble beaches of the Bay of Fundy, a part of the Atlantic Ocean.
