Obedience Tutor Islana
My name is Islana, I am a private Obedience Tutor.
I live in St Peter with my 2 year old son Finlay and our family dog Skye who is a 14 year old Cairn Terrier, who I take everywhere, and is my lifelong shadow.
I am offering two free half hour training sessions to every dog rehomed by Jersey Greyhound Supporters.
What does Training Involve?
I have developed my own style of training that is specifically aimed at pet dogs.
My non tactile, kind methods allow you to find your own style of training program to suit your dog's personality and your lifestyle.

Where training takes place
This is my training paddock which is situated in St Ouen.
The paddock is completely secured and safe to train off the lead.
When you receive your rehomed dog, you may find letting your new pet off the lead for the first time a bit daunting.
However the training paddock is an ideal place to monitor them in a safe environment with a trainer on hand to help.
I can also arrange home visits where I can offer advice on how to handle your dog within the home and deal with issues such as separation anxiety and phobia of strangers.

The most regular problems I deal with are;
- Dog on Dog aggression
- Boisterousness
- Pulling on the lead
- Dogs that do not come when called
- Nervous Dogs
- Phobia's with strangers
- Phobia's with cars/bikes
- Stealing
- Barking in the house/car
Jersey Greyhound Supporters owners will receive two free training sessions and this will be given to you once your dog has arrived.
