Well, the 2002 Season was here, and for the first time in his career, Jerry Nadeau headed into the season with nothing changed. Same team, same crew, same sponsor. Would 2002 be the breakout year everyone had been expecting? Well, to sum it up...no. 2002 brought nothing but dissapointment for Nadeau, as he was released from Hendrick Motorsports after the Spring Richmond race. Below is the UAW-Delphi Scheme Jerry ran during his final races with Hendrick Motorsports.
Jerry only got to run 11 races in 2002 with Hendrick Motorsports before he was released. Below you will see his results.

After Richmond, he was released from Hendrick Motorsports. Jerry wondered where he would race next, if anywhere. Well, for the next few races, he raced on and off for MB2 Motorsports, filling in for the injured Johnny Benson in the #10 Valvoline Pontiac. He also ran a race for Michael Waltrip Racing in the #00 Aaron's Dream Machine at Chicago. Once the 2nd Pocono race came around, Jerry found a permanent ride with Petty Enterprises in the #44 Georgia Pacific Dodge. Below you will find the different cars he ran for each of those three teams.
Below you will see his race results for the rest of the 2002 Season, spanning three different teams, and 8 races he wasn't entered in.

So the nightmare known as 2002 was finally over for Jerry after Charlotte, as he injured his shoulder in a crash there. Jerry finished 37th in points, and missed quite a few races. 2003 would bring him a new chance, as MB2 Motorsports tabbed him to drive their newly formed #01 US Army team. Jerry didn't know what it would bring, but at least he knew he'd be doing the one thing he loved, and that's racing.
