About Me

I'm 61 YO and was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease in June 2005.  After 6 months of ABVD chemo I was declared in remission.  3 months later at my 1st PET scan the cancer was found to have returned.  Several months & treatments later I underwent an autologus stem cell bone marrow transplant.  It has now been 3+ years since my transplant and my scans are still clean and I'm still cancer free!  As everyone knows this is simply a synopsis of everything that took place over the past 4.5 years.  It's a long, hard journey that we all must take and that does include our family & friends who also must travel that road with us.  A huge thank you go out to all of them for everything they've done over this time to help.  Sometimes just a hug was all that was needed; other times helping out with daily life chores...but with their help & support we've gotten through it all.  My prayers go out for all those who have or are still fighting their own battle with cancer and those who travel with them.  God Bless you All!

Hi Jen - if ever anyone needed a definition of Champion - they need look no further than you! You have been an inspiration to so many people. I've been following you for some time and am so happy that you are still fighting, and winning! Not many people make it back out of hospice - I'm so glad you got that miracle. Please keep up the fight - get stronger - and have that lung transplant! My prayers continue to be with you & your family. Nice to hear you're getting ready for Christmas and even managed a little shopping! Enjoy your godson's first christmas - and have a very Merry Christmas Jen! Wishing you all the best for the coming year -- may it bring you another miracle. God Bless You. A friend through cancer, Tom
