The HFPA Official Crush Award goes to...
Sarah Jessica Parker

FOR The Family Stone
WHY? Without Sex and the City to fawn over, this year threatened to be the first time in eight years with no Globe nomination for Parker. But her role as the uptight, non-Carrie Bradshaw-ish Meredith in the dramedy The Family Stone gave the voters of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association an excuse to give Parker her eighth straight nod, and perhaps her fifth trophy. With this nomination, Parker officially supplants Nicole Kidman as the belle of the HFPA's ball. Last year, you'll recall, Kidman earned her seventh nomination for her role in Birth, a portrayal ignored by every other movie-awards group. Similarly, the HFPA is the only group so far to show Parker any love for Stone. The always fashionable actress is certain to display her gratitude by showing up in something smashing and raising the Globe ceremony's glamour quotient. Sounds like a date. [EW]
