a rotary exchange year in a "land of smiles"

A Year of Adventure...

sa-watdee ka (hello: in thai)

To all those looking at this website you are most likely a family member, close friend, rotarian or maybe even just someone I haven't had the pleasure of meeting, that is (oddly) interested in my travels to Asia. To just breifly summarize my adventures so far...on August 4th 2006 I arrived at the Bangkok airport in Thailand, excited and ready for a year which I knew hardly anything about. I am a Rotary exchange student who was lucky enough to be chosen for the year long program and opportunity to study abroad. My country was decided, and that's how I ended up here, in Thailand. The year is bound to be full of adventures and new experinces that will allow me to return to Canada with a new perspective of the world. I'm attending school and participating in the daily life of a Thai family, allowing me to witness the culture first hand. I have my ups and downs being so far away from home but I look forwards to the challenges and will take every opportunity I can to experience Thailand and it's people. I miss everyone terribly and I wish you all the best in your year ahead, and I want to hear updates from everyone. I will deffinitly keep this website updated with all my adventures and of course pictures as well. Have an amazing year. xoxo

A special thanks to the rotarians of the waterdown rotary club for their generous support of this amazing program, and for their drive to make the world a better place through international peace projects like this one. Thanks again, I'll miss monday meetings and all your goofy antics.

Being an exchange student, I had the chance to meet some of the most amazing students my age from accross Ontario. Each of them is having their own amazing experience in a foreign land and I wish them all the best. The names are links to their sites and I suggest having a look.
