1.Kompanie, Fusilier Battalion 16

 I have been trying to put together a unit for some time now. I have been talking to a lot of different units around the southern part of the United States. But there was not a unit close to my area, so I decided to form a Unit here. What kind of unit to portray. After much research and thought, it seemed most of the more recognized German Units have already been established. I decided to portray some of the lesser-known German Combat Units. There are a few other people portraying these types of Units so it seemed there was room for one more. Thus “Fusilier Battalion 16” of the 16 . Field Luftwaffe Division was formed. The goal and mission of the Unit is to participate in the historical representation of the German Soldier during the latter part of World War II. To educate the public about the training and day-to-day duties of the common German Soldier who was serving his country as any nations soldier would.

 Fusilier Battalion 16 is a non-political organization formed to study the everyday life of a German Luftwaffe combat soldier as accurately as possible. We do not condone any activities that may be construed as exemplifying the Nazi regime within the framework of Nazi Party politics, nor do we tolerate any activities that may be construed as Pro-Nazi ideology. Racism, political extremes, and illegal drug use will not be tolerated. Since  Fusilier Battalion 16 will be participating in living history and reenacting events viewed by the public, and using period weapons with blank ammunition. Alcohol  and Illegal Drugs use in any form is strictly forbidden. Having said this I hope all members will adhere to these few guidelines so that we may have a unit with very high standards and to promote a comfortable atmosphere so that family and friends may enjoy this hobby also.

We are a new unit and are looking for like minded persons who appreciate WWII Military History , and who may be interested in joining our Unit. If you can live in the field for a few days without a shower, maintain a military style haircut, a clean shaven face, are age 18 and are willing and able to learn WWII German Drill and Ceremony.
