Dairy Goats

Welcome

2009 Update: At the Wills Fair London won Reserve Grand Champion and Savannah won Junior Champion. We had several other goats win their class. At our next show the MDGA our does did very well. All of our goats except one, won at least champion on the youth show. Starburst and London both won Grand Champion, while Ariel and Savannah won Junior Champions. Not bad considering that we only showed five does in that show.

2008 Show Updates: At our local 4-H fair (Carroll County) we did very well. Venus won Grand Champion AOP and Best Doe in Show in addition to being part of our Champion dairy herd. London won Reserve Grand AOP and Grace was Reserve Grand Champ Nubian. We won Junior Champ in 2 of the 3 breed we entered with Starburst and Pearl winning Junior Champ in Nubian and Grade respectively. All of our does did very well with our lowest placing being third. At the MDGA shows on June 27-28 Mercury won Grand Champ Nubian, Venus was Reserve Grand Saanen, Starburst won her class and Savannah won Junior Champ Nubian in the youth show and won one ring open. Venus was Reserve Grand Champion AOP at Wills fair. Starburst won Reserve Junior Champ in the PDGA youth show, then the next day won Reserve Grand in one ring and won her class in the other two. Also check out the newest addition to the herd, SGCH Kori-Brook Isaac Mercury.

We keep a small herd of quality dairy goats. We started when we purchased several grade does in 2001 for a 4-H project. Then in 2003 we purchased our first Nubian. Since then we added Saanens and Lamanchas. As you can see from this site we keep a small herd. In order to do so that means that we will need to sell goats in the spring. Often that involves selling milkers that don't meet up to our standards. We do not list these animals on the for sale page, so if you are interested in a milker please contact us and we will let you know what we have available.

We bottle feed our kids to make them easier to show and handle. So if you are looking for a goat for grass control or a pet our grade kids are very friendly and would be a good choice. We show our goats at open and youth shows. We also make homemade soap with our excess milk that is for sale if you contact us.
