The Dogue de Bordeaux is a very popular breed.

Sometimes for the wrong reasons!

Most responsible and reputable breeders have contracts drawn up at the time of a pups sale, stating that if the puppy for what ever reason needs to be rehomed, then it must go back to them, the breeder! How ever, not all breeders of the Dogue de Bordeaux are responsible or reputable. Far too many so called "breeders" take unsuspecting puppy buyers money, promising them the earth, only to avoid any further contact with them! When problems arise they are no where to be found.

There are many Dogue de Bordeaux that end up in rescue centers all over the country, through no fault of there own. Often they are bought on impulse with out any thought by people of the big commitment they are undertaking, or how big they are going to grow! Once the novelty has worn off and they grow bigger, more slobbery and untrained, if they are lucky they will end up in a rescue center who will try and find them a new and perminant loving home.
