Cider won the most prestigious of Top Dog awards the
"Dog World/Pedigree Top Dog Competition"
and she still remains the only DDB bitch to win the working group in the
"Vitalin/Our Dogs Bitch of the Year Competition"
A remarkable achievement for a breed still on the Imported Register and with very well attended classes, with more breeds on the working imported register, unlike recent years!!!

Cider at Crufts 2005
Cider’s Grand day Out!
"We had a fantastic day out at Crufts. Cider and I had been invited down to collect our prizes from Pedigree and to attend a presentation at Vitalin, for the competitions and awards she had won through out 2005. Having represented the breed at discover dogs on several occasions we were prepared for a little bit of attention, but nothing could have prepared us for the level of attention that we did receive. I could only liken it to being the Queen on a royal walk about! We never managed to get out of hall 2 to do any shopping. People were forming long cues to come and cuddle Cider, whom I might add was taking it all in her stride. Cider’s behaviour was impeccable, she had child after child and camera after camera shoved in her face. She wasn’t fazed at all, a true ambassador for our breed.
We had a very tiring but very memorable day out! I would like to say a big thank you to every one for their lovely comments and best wishes to my special girl."

Words can not express how I feel about Cider! She is my sole mate, she is wise, she has brains and she has beauty! She has been an excellent example of the breed, in and out of the show ring! She is loved and adored by all who meet her!

Cider at nearly 8 years old and still very active in her retirement!
Although Cider was only shown lightly from the age of 14 months, in 2005 she attended most of the Champ Shows and did me proud! Cider has now been retired from showing, ending her show career after such a superb 2005 and retiring in fine style!!! She now enjoys spending most of her days curled up in front of the fire and chasing the birds and rabbits in the fields!
