Huge tag match announced

WWE.com has learned that another huge match has been signed for next Sunday’s Royal Rumble spectacular.

The bitter and increasingly personal rivalry between MNM and The Hardys will continue at the annual pay-per-view event. Joey Mercury, who was brutally injured in the Armageddon Tag Team Ladder Match has continually blamed The Hardys, specifically Matt, for ruining his “Hollywood good looks.” At Royal Rumble, the accomplished duos will reunite again in an attempt to gain the upper hand, and ultimate triumph in the battle of two of sports-entertainment’s greatest tag teams of all time.

 

 

 

Melina and Johnny Nitro vs. Jeff Hardy and Maria.
Jeff came out with maria and he did his funky little dance and she did Hardy's hand gestures. As soon as the bell rang, fans started the "Hardy" chant, followed by a loud Melina scream. Maria hit a bulldog on Melina, but she kicked out. Melina put Maria into the camel clutch. Melina then got a tag to nitro before maria can get up, he grabs maria by the arm, so she stamps on his feet and hardy comes in, they fight toward the turnbuckle when jeffs jumps onto it and does a corkscrew off it hitting nitro. Hardy climbs the turnbuckle again when melina grabs his leg, maria dives into melina through the ropes sending her crashing to the floor. Hardy hits the swanton bomb after blocking a superplex attempt by Nitro to win the match.

Mercury is accompanied by Nitro and Melina, after Jeff comes out he jumps over the rope onto nitro and mercury and grabs mercury and throws him in the ring, rips his coat off and they start fighting. Outside Nitro exposes the concrete at ringside, with the intent of driving Jeff's face into it but the referee forces Nitro and Melina to leave after he catches him. They fight back and forth for a little before Jeff wins with the Twist Of Fate.
