Fire departments are dispatched on all reports of motor vehicle accidents (MVA) with injury, of course all reported and confirmed structure fires, hazardous materials incidents, reports of bombs and or other threats, and EMS assistance calls, just to name a few. The Jefferson County Rescue Squad is dispatched to all MVA's with reported or confirmed entrapment on the South Side (Dandridge, White Pine, and Chestnut Hill Area) of the county and The New Market Fire Department is dispatched for the north side (Jefferson City, Talbott, and New Market) of the county for all reported and confirmed entrapment MVA's, however, the Jefferson City Fire Department responds to all the MVA's inside the corporate city limits of Jefferson City. The fire departments that we serve are Jefferson City Fire Department, White Pine Fire Department and First Responders, New Market Fire Department, Lakeway Central Fire Department and First Responders, Kansas-Talbott Fire Department, Chestnut Hill Fire Department an First Responders, Dandridge Fire Department, and the Jefferson County Rescue Squad. Several of the departments have first responder agencies, which means that if an EMS unit is sent on a "priority one" call within that fire departments ESN, then that fire department is dispatched to assist them. Within New Market Fire Departments ESN's they respond with EMS to all reported and confirmed Cardiac Arrests, and of course all fire departments are called upon at some time to assist with lifting assistance and driving the EMS units.
