Our deepest sympathy to the Malin family. I worked with Ed at AMEX, and he always spoke so lovingly of his wife and children. I never got to meet Jean, but I am sure she must have been an incredible woman from how Ed always spoke so beautifully of her. My family & I are so deeply sorry for your loss. God Bless.

I am so grateful that I was able to attend Jean’s memorial service. I pray that Ed, Luke, Matthew, and the entire Schroeder family were comforted with the presence of all who knew Jean and those who loved her.

Thanks to the family for assembling the wonderful picture memorial of Jean. I was immediately overwhelmed with her inner and outer beauty.

My family and I were blessed by being able to spend some time with Ed, Jean, and the boys when we passed through Phoenix in June of 2004. Although I had not seen Jean for several years her graciousness and caring made us all feel right at home.

Jean, I miss you so-everything from your welcoming smile, your infectious laughter, your creative genius, and the ability to remain a true friend even though miles separated us for several years.

I don’t want to let you go, but I know that you are at peace with your God and my spiritual beliefs assure me that you are no longer in pain and because of that I can say good-bye to you, knowing that we will be reunited in friendship in due time.

Love always.

To the Malin's and the Schroeder's, please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. What a terrible shock to lose Jean so suddenly and so young.

My heart is broken over the late night conversations and giggles that we will not have again, but my years of memories are pure gold and are so plentiful they will sustain me for a lifetime.

Jean and I spent many hours in the Black Hills and while we lived in Albuquerque dreaming of our futures and the families we would some day have. Her deepest joy was realizing that dream. She lived for her family and loved them with all her heart.

Jean also had a fierce belief in the Lord and I believe she is now pain free and walking with Him asking where the "dog" section of heaven is. This body will no longer hold her down and rule her days. She's running free, and dancing with joy.

Jean, I guess we won't get to be roommates in an oldfolks home after all, instead we get to be roommates in heaven. Until we meet again, goodbye my dear, dear friend, my sister, I will love and miss you forever.

I'M FREE

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.

I'm following the path God laid for me.

I took his hand when I heard Him call,

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,

to laugh, to love, to work or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way,

I found the place at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void,

then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,

Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life's been full, I've savored much,

good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,

Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your hearts and share with me,

God wanted me now; He set me FREE.
