We have five young egg-laying ducks for sale. The ducks are all females from McMurrays Hatchery and were hatched this summer.  All 5 ducks currently lay one or more eggs a day!!! They are very healthy birds and have a long life of laying ahead of them. Duck eggs are large and highly nutritious with more protien and more vitamins than chicken eggs. They have a harder shell and are larger than chicken eggs, and frequently lay extra-large eggs with double yolks. Ducks are also easy to take care of and do not require a whole pond for swimming. They are happy to swim in a rubber tub filled daily with fresh water. They usually lay their eggs in one nest, and will lay them in the "duck house" if fresh straw is provided.
