Arsenio Rodrigues was one of the most and is one of the most  famous
 composers in the famous latin dance music and peaved the way for
what would eventually become known as Salsa. Arsenio  was a freat  cuban band
leader . Arsenio  reached  the height  of his fromidable powers during the late1940s and 1950s.
Arsenio  has been blind since he was a  little boy, He was known as "El ciego Maravilloso" wich  means "Marvelous
Blind guy". Disregarding Arsenios Artistic and commercial died in complete abscurity  in Los Angeles in the early 1970's.
Arsenio Rodriguez was born on August,30th,1911 In Guira De Mantanzas.
Arsenio started  composeing in his  teen years, and in 1930, he formed El Sexto  Boston. In 1937, he also  saw
 the first recording of Rodriguez' composing Miguelito  Valdes sang " Bruca Mangua,"  " Ven aca Tomas", and  " Funfunado" with orquestra Casino de la Playa.
 In the early '60s, Rodriguez recored Quindemo Afro magic wich was an epic, an innovative expiremental  album on wich he wrote  and sang on all tracks. Arsenio Rodriguez  called this style Jazz. The last album Rodriguez recorded was Arsenio  Dice, a 1968 Tico release.
     In December 30,1970  "El Ciego Maravilloso" died of pneumonia in Los Angeles. Arsenio  Rodriguez was one of the undoubted giants of Cuban Music. No one will ever gorget the most famous composers that made Jazz and salsa dancing stay and will always stay alive.

        Jim  Hurly was born  in 1957. Jim Hurley  is a violin Player that has been playing violin since 1969.
 Hurly holds a B.A in music from Humboldt state University. Hurly was influenced to play the violin by Soutrh India
violinist L. Shanker, Hurly says he incorporated styles from debop to zydeco, European classical to zairean soukous. Jim Hurley  has been a musical director and composer for several theater productions, including and entire score in the Balinese gamelan style. Hurly has done United Nation  documentarys like, Closing the Curtain of Death(about drift net fishing)to  CD review Magazines world music sampler, World Horizons2.

Hurley has also won for hes performance with many other Crammy winners like, Queen Ida and Airapone, and even swing legend Dan Hicks, Acoustic  warriors. They say that Jim  Hurley has toured many places  and performed  in many places too. They even say that he has perfromed on Saturday Night Live, and in CNN's show Showbiz Tonight. They say that Jim Hurly has opened for the Grateful dead , B.B King, Tracy Chapman,  Ray Charels, John Lee Hocker, Carlos Santana, and the Neville Brothers.

        Jim Hurley has just released his debut solo  recording, Finger Painting. Finger Painting(his band) have been working hard in support of hes new CD. Finger Painting has opened shows for Kenny Rankin, Bob James, and Marc Antonine, and performed live on radio station KPKA-Brendall and KKUP-San Jose.
