Hi all, my name is Josh Choitz.  I am from a small town in the middle of Kansas called Ellsworth.  I am a member of the local EAA chapter #1127.  I am 22 years old and am currently in college and majoring in aviation.  I have my private pilots license.  I recently bought a KR-2S in October of 2006 and am in the process of getting it flying.

Picture of me and Arnold (the gentleman who sold me the airplane) in front of his house in Kentucky the day I picked it up!

Me and Chanel just before leaving for home

My girlfriend, Chanel, took this picture on our way home from Kentucky with the airplane. I thought it was a really cool picture!

It has a Subaru EA81 with 1.8:1 reduction drive.

Instrument panel with single stick and sling seat.

Fiberglass seat that Chanel and I built and dual sticks.

I hinged my backrest for easy access behind the seat

A picture with the wings on when I was weighing it.  It came out at 726 pounds, but I have added a little bit of weight since then.

A view from the front.

Dad and I putting the wings on!

Chanel and I shortly after we got the Airplane to the airport.  (Our Shop is nearby, so we pulled the KR to the airport with a golf cart and a t-post with flat iron welded on one end and a muffler clamp on the other. Hey it worked!) I wish I had pictures, maybe next time!

This is what a happy pilot looks like during his first taxi!

I took off my shoes, it gave me better feel and made it easier to taxi.  Also made Chanel laugh at me.

Here I go!
