In short, javascript is a programming language used in webdesign. You may not know, that all webpages are really just a text file that has been read by an application ( eg. Microsoft Internet Explorer ) and converted it into the pages we see when we surf the net. It is a simple programming language that many webdesigners need to learn to have a good website. Javascript can be used to make alert messages, clocks, countdowns, things that fly across the screen, games, generators, background effects, image swaps, scrolling texts and much much more. In my opinion, it is not such a difficult language, but there would still be many people who would look at some coding and say "I could never do that!". Even though they may be capable of learning the language. If you look at some coding behind a page and say that, take my word for it - it's not nearly as hard as it looks!
