"...`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'"
--- Lewis Carroll, from Alice in Wonderland

They told you not to go there. It was not a healthy place. Bad things happened there, things that could change you in ways you never expected. Hard, hurtful things that scarred people for life. They said to stay away. You couldn't. It haunted your every thought. You daydreamed about it. While you slept its strange music haunted your nightmares. Macabre images danced unbidden across your mind's eye and you couldn't shake the dark feeling that you'd visited someplace just this side of Hell.
It excited you.
You looked. You saw it. There, in the moonlight, larger than life and twice as angry. You didn't want to, but you did. You saw. And from that moment you knew your world had changed...
Because when you saw it, it saw YOU --- and it smiled.
Fangs of purest alabaster shone in the moon's cold glare and you knew you had to feel their piercing touch on your skin... You wanted it.
They told you not to go there. It was not a healthy place.
