JAPANESE CHIN
J-Jim's Charlie Chan and ES (cat) 
As the name implies, the tiny parti-colored, long-haired lap dogs known as Japanese Chin are reputed to be natives of the land of the chrysanthemum. The Japanese, who have treasured them for centuries, have the belief that they are just as ancient as the dogs of Malta. There seems to be a probability, however, that the breed may claim to be Chinese just as surely as Japanese. Until 1977 the breed was known as the Japanese Spaniel. These oriental entertainers sole purpose is to bring comfort and joy to those with whom they share their home. They love to play and can make you laugh! They are more cat like than any other dog, often spending as much time grooming each others faces and ears much like cats, pawing at toys and slapping at toys the same as any kitty would. They do enjoy the company of cats and are very intriqued by them. They do not bark much and some don't bark at all. They have a "woo woo" yodel that is unique to this breed. As mature adults they have long silky hair that does tend to shed but regular brushing/combing especially during the warm seasons will keep shedding of hair down to a minimum. They are what we call "wash and wear" dogs.

Annie Mae came to me from Judith Hesser of "Topaz Chin". My little Anshin will begin their show career in the Fall of 2009 and Annie Mae in Spring of 2010.

"Hardy" is now living and owned by Lena Prazak in Chekosolvakia and so far has sired a litter of pups there. Pups are looking good. Hardy has sired several litters here in the USA. His first breeding I did with Hardy resulted in : AKC Ch. J-Jim's True Hart Felcrest Watch for future champions out of Hardy and his get and his litter brothers. on the weekend 11/18, 11/19, & 11/20/ 2007 by going WB/BW/BB all 3 days.
YON-DELL ORIENTAL POPPY completes her AKC championship to match her half sister by going WB/BW/BB all 3 days 11/18, 11/19/ 11/20 /2007 at the AKC shows in the USA.
