There is no secret so close as that between a rider and his horse.

Even though DoRey has been sold I will keep his page up as a reference. He is now owned by Georgia Raine or Mt Pleasant TN. I couldn't be more pleased with who he went to.

DoRey was an amazing horse to own. I was hired to condition him in western pleasure when I was 15, I fell in love with this silly horse and I bought him when I was 16, and owned him for 2 years. He is a big minimal blue roan by Diamond Dude Egger, an NCHA money earner, and Bonita Rey Wimpy. He goes back to Blondys Dude two times, King, Bartender, Wimpy, and even Traveler. He may be eligable for registration in both the FQHR & NFQHR. You can see his pedigree page for a few pictures and stats.

He may be 17 this year, but in no way acts it! He is very laid back, but when he turns on everyone has to stop what they are doing to watch. I can't count the number of times people have come running out of their houses to come pet the big black horse while we are riding. DoRey is very responsive to leg cues, and can be steered using only your legs. He will even do sliding stops and rollbacks just playing in the pasture. I believe he might of had some cutting training, but I know very little about his past. But he was shown in some local western pleasure classes and did very good.

DoRey does have to be ridden with a hackamore or bosal now, because of some scarring on his lip. DoRey has impecable ground manners, and does not act like a stud unless mares are around. He is awesome for the farrier, below is a picture of him standing quietly while getting his hooves trimmed. DoRey is barefoot and doing great. He does get lounged atleast 3 times a week, and messed with everyday. He is very willing to please and dosen't fuss about going over train tracks, through water, around lots of traffic, dogs, big machinery etc.

DoRey is siring very athletic foals, with great minds, and awesome conformation. He sired a nice sorrel filly last year out of a very small Mustang mare. The filly, Dawn of Diamondz, has a gorgeous head, huge hip, nice neck and his trot, not to mention his very personable attitude and size. His foals are sure to excell in reining, cutting, working cow, or even be your best trail buddy, or your kids 4-H horse, some may even halter.
