The Free Agency period is sure going to be exciting. Players like MVP Shaun Alexander, Jamal Lewis, Edgerrin James and WR Antwaan Randle-El are all available and surely will all be snapped up by teams eager for big-game players. Seattle are unlikely to offer a new contract to the ageing Alexnader as he is now 30, and they feel he has gone as far as he can with them, which will alet Carolina as they released DeShaun Foster and need a big-game back. Jamal Lewis was not franchised by Baltimore and allowed to test free agency. He may still be resigned by the Ravens on a long-term deal, but many people predict a trip to The City of the Sun for the one-time 2,000 yard back. Edgerrin will be bitterly disappointed. He had a great season with the Colts, keeping their offensive machine rolling, but no new contract. He mildly voiced his concerns in the Pro Bowl but there was no response. Similar to Alexander and Lewis, his best years may be behind him, but expect a few teams to take a shot with him, especially Denver, even though they have great backs already. Finally, Randle El. After his heroics gaining the Steelers the Superbowl, you would of thought he would have been offered a new deal. He was shocked to find out that he wouldn't be. Two main teams are interested: Chicago need an alternate WR to line up with Muhammad and Arizona want a change of style to Fitzgerald and Boldin. Whatever happens, expect an interesting time next week! See ya!
