A Little About Me
My name is Marla and I live in Oregon with my family: husband, Jim, of 20 years, four kids and one foster daughter. I tend to stay quite busy with them, house, animals and my church activities. I grew up in Southern California as did Jim and we met and married there. It's only recently that we have moved to the Great North West. We picked this area because Jim's family is all up here and we wanted to be by them. Besides, it's a lovely place and a big step up from California! Don't get me wrong.....I think California is a wonderful state. It just has a few problems.....crowds, high prices, smog, heat, traffic, crime......just to name a few. lol
I've always loved animals. Over my many years I've raised and/or kept fish, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, birds, horses, rats, mice, hamsters and rabbits. This list would be longer, but I've never been on a large enough piece of property to keep goats, cows, lions, elephants, etc. Maybe some day, lol!
Right now my husband and I raise rabbits, guinea pigs, mice and birds (budgies, cockateils, love birds and more!)
Besides my animals and my family, I love to read, craft, sing, play piano and marrimba, scrapbook, watch movies and be on the computer. I don't always find time to do all these things, but I try! lol
I'm very patriotic and love this country! I support our troops and pray for them every day. I am also very religious and stay very active in my church. I love my kids! They range from 11 years old to 19....two boys and three girls.
I'm happy to be alive and love to visit with people and make friends.
