James Bond 007 Height Chart

All listed heights in the height chart are heights without shoes on, and peak age heights, which were their heights when cast as Bond. The metric system heights are as follows: Sean Connery 1.87m, George Lazenby 1.88m, Roger Moore 1.85m, Timothy Dalton 1.88m, Pierce Brosnan 1.84m, Daniel Craig 1.78m. There are many different various height listings for the six Bond actors.

After literally years of exhaustive research on this, I have gotten the exact and correct heights of the six Bond actors.
This information comes from my having personally sought out and gathered the information from the James Bond 007 production company Eon (they measure each Bond), from the Wax Museum, and finally, in order to get the exact current heights, from the actors themselves in person, which also allowed a comparison to my own height (6'2" 1.88m barefoot), as well as to the other Bonds. Believe whatever you will, but these are the EXACT barefoot heights, both when they were first cast as Bond and the current heights.

Sean Connery

Sean Connery was 6'1 1/2" (1.87m) in height barefoot when he played Bond. Today he is 6'1" (1.85m) in height barefoot. The original 6'1 1/2" (1.87m) barefoot height has been verified by Eon whom measured him, the Wax Museum whom measured him, and by Connery himself, when he was asked about the measurements. The 6'1" (1.85m) barefoot height today was the current barefoot height given by Connery himself and matches the height that he appeared to be in person.

George Lazenby

George Lazenby was 6'2" (1.88m) barefoot in height when he played Bond. Today he is 6'1 1/2" (1.87m) in height barefoot. The original 6'2" (1.88m) barefoot height has been verified by Eon whom measured him, the Wax Museum whom measured him, and by Lazenby himself, when he was asked in person about the measurements. Roger Moore

Roger Moore was 6'1" (1.85m) in height barefoot when he played Bond. Today he is 6'0" (1.83m) in height barefoot. The original 6'1" (1.85m) barefoot height has been verified by Eon whom measured him, the Wax Museum whom measured him, and by Moore himself, when he was asked in person about the measurements. The 6'0" (1.83m) barefoot height today was the current barefoot height given by Moore himself in person and matches the height that he appeared to be in person.

Timothy Dalton

Timothy Dalton was 6'2" (1.88m) barefoot in height when he played Bond. Today he is 6'1" (1.85m) in height barefoot. The original 6'2" (1.88m) barefoot height has been verified by Eon whom measured him, the Wax Museum whom measured him, and by Dalton himself, when asked in person about the measurements. The 6'1" (1.85m) barefoot height today was the current barefoot height given by Dalton in person and matches the height that he appeared to be in person.

Pierce Brosnan

Pierce Brosnan is 6'0 1/2" (1.84m) in height barefoot. This barefoot height has been verified by Eon whom measured him and the Wax Museum whom also measured him. The 6'0 1/2" (1.84m) barefoot height was confirmed by Brosnan when asked about the two measurements and matches the height that he appeared to be in person. *IMDb.com trivia on Timothy Dalton page is wrong for Brosnan's height according to Bond production company Eon.

Daniel Craig

Daniel Craig is 5'10" (1.78m) in height barefoot. This barefoot height has been verified by Eon whom measured him and by Craig himself when asked in person about the measurement. It also matches the height that he appeared to be in person. To date, Craig is the shortest Bond, and the only Bond that is not over 6 feet tall (1.83m) in height barefoot.

Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan, in 1996. Moore at age 68, and Brosnan at age 45. Moore would have probably lost some height by this time, and himself claims that he was down to around 6'0" barefoot at this time, which Eon confirms. This image would certainly seem to verify Eon's claims that Moore is about 6'0" now, down from his original young age height of 6'1", and that Brosnan's young age height is about 6'0 1/2" barefoot.

Roger Moore and George Lazenby in 2002. Moore at age 75, and Lazenby at age 63. Moore, according to himself and Eon, is around 6'0" at this time barefoot, and Lazenby, according to himself, is around 6'1 1/2" barefoot at this time. This image would appear to verify that.

George Lazenby, at age 63, at 6'1 1/2" barefoot, according to himself at this time, down 1/2" from his peak height, and Timothy Dalton at age 58, and at 6'1" barefoot, according to himself at this time, down an inch from his peak height. This image would also seem to verify that. The line is at the top of Dalton's head, also with Dalton looking upward, while the line is not at the top of Lazenby's head, while Lazenby is looking straight ahead.

The first five Bond actors are all quite close to each other in height. With normal heeled shoes on Roger Moore would be about 6'1" (1.85m) tall currently, or 6'2" (1.88m) in height when he was cast as Bond, and Pierce Brosnan would be about 6'1 1/2" or (1.86m) with normal shoes on. While Sean Connery would be around 6'2 1/2" (1.89m) in height with normal heeled shoes on when he was cast as Bond, and around 6'2" (1.88m) with shoes on today. George Lazenby would be with normal heeled shoes on today about 6'2 1/2" (1.89m), with Lazenby about 6'3" in shoes when he played Bond (1.91m). Timothy Dalton would today be about 6'2" (1.88m) with shoes on, and would have been about 6'3" (1.91m) with shoes on when he played Bond.


Daniel Craig, the 6th official James Bond, is the first 007 that is not over 6 feet (1.83m) in height barefoot, being 5'10" (1.78m) in height barefoot, and 5'11" (1.80m) in height in shoes.


The average peake age barefoot height of the 6 official cinematic Bonds is 6'1" (1.85m).

Ian Fleming's literary James Bond 007 was 6'0" even (1.83m) tall without shoes on. He was also 168 pounds (76 kg). Pierce Brosnan in his first Bond film GoldenEye (1995), was the closest Bond movie actor ever to the literary Fleming Bond of the novels in size and height, at almost an exact match. At 6'0 1/2" barefoot and about 164 pounds (74.2 kg) in weight, when he made GoldenEye.

Incidentally, Pierce Brosnan also very closely matches Fleming's Literary Bond in looks, as both the Bond of the novels, and Brosnan have dark hair, a tanned complexion, and blue eyes. Also Fleming's Bond had "a cruel mouth", and a scar on his face. Brosnan from his second Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) onward, had a scar above his right lip, which also made his mouth look a bit more "cruel", in addition to his rather bad teeth.

However, Daniel Craig probably most closely resembles the literary Bond in facial looks.
