What A Trip !
This is the story about a man and woman who decided to take a long trip across the country. Their names were Bill and Sue and they had recently retired. They hadn't been on vacation, or taken a trip in years because of their busy schedules. Both of them were still relatively young, so they decided to live it up on their trip across the country. They lived in West Virginia, and decided to go from there to California and back. Besides, Bill had an older brother who lived in california that he hadn't seen in years. Sue spent the next two days packing what she knew they would need, and mapping out the route they would take.
Finally they were on their way, and so excided about all the things they would experience on their trip. They planned on taking their time enjoying the scenery, and stop at a lot of tourist attractions. They would drive for seven or eight hours, then get a motel room, and explore places they had never been. The first two days went great! and they enjoyed themselves immensely. On the third day their van broke down in the middle of nowhere. Sue said, what are we going to do bill? and he said, don't worry, I will call a tow truck. But when Bill tried to call his cell phone it wouldn't get a signal, and he realized they were in a dead zone. So they sit there in the hot sun with the hood up on their van, hoping someone would stop and help. After several hours, they decided to try and hitch-hick to the nearest town to get help. They were standing on the side of the road with their thumbs stuck out, when suddenly! there came this heavy down pour of rain and it got them soaking wet. They ran back to the van, got a towel, and dried off the best they could. Awhile later a man in a pickup stopped and ask if they needed a ride. Bill said yes sir, if you could only give us a ride to the nearest town. After a little while they noticed the man was driving too fast, and slurring his words. That's when they knew he was drinking, and Sue became terrified. Bill said you can just let us out here, and he responded why? the town is only a mile away. Bill said I insist, and the the man said suit yourself, and let them out. They walked the rest of the way into town, and when they got there, they were worn out. They made arrangements for their van to be towed to a garage, and rented a motel room. They were too tired to go out, so they took a shower, went to bed and fell asleep. The next morning the man from the garage called and said their van was ready. So they picked up their van, said good reddens to that little town, and they were on their way.
Everything went fine for a few days, and they were getting close to their destination. Bill said, let's spend one more night in the next town, and then drive the rest of the way in the morning. Sue said ok, I am really hungry anyway, and besides I am also tired. So they got settled in a room, freshened up, and went out to eat. They retuned only to find that someone had broken into their room, and stole everything they had. They also took Sue's purse, which had most of their cash, the check book, and all their credit cards in it. After the police came and left, Sue sit on the edge of the bed and began to cry. She said, what are we going to do now Bill? we have nothing. Bill replied, we will worry about that in the morning, let's just go to bed and get some rest. They spent the next day canceling the credit cards, notifying their bank about the stolen check book, and having money wired to their location. And the next morning, they were on their way once more.
A couple of hours later as they were driving down the interstate a car came across the medium and rammed into the side of their van. they waited a long time for the police to come and investigate the accident. Finally the state trooper came and filed a report, and they were on the road again in a beat up van. When they arrived at his brother's house, his brother's wife informed them that his brother had passed away the day before. Bill was saddened by the news and needed to be alone for awhile. then he said to Sue, if all those bad things hadn't happened to us, I would have gotten here in time to at least say goodbye to my brother. They stayed for the funeral, and then they headed back home. As they were pulling in their driveway at home Bill turned to Sue and said, what a trip! Sue replied, don't take this wrong Bill, but I don't think I want to take anymore trips. As they were getting out of the beat up van Bill looked at Sue and said, me neither, I am just glad to be home.
Lost In the Junk Yard
This story is about a woman who really had a very bad day. I think she commented too someone that it was perhaps the worst day of her life. Her day began when a friend called and awakened her from a deep sleep. The friend asked her if she would meet her at wal-marts, and go somewhere with her. She said she would, and she got up and began to get ready. While she was taking a shower, she got the water way too hot. She burnt three big blisters on her forehead,and they looked bad. Finally she was dressed and was on her way, so she thought. When she got in her car, it wouldn't start, the battery was dead. So she called a neighbor , and he came and gave her a boost. When she finally got to wal-marts, her friend asked, what in the world happened to your forehead? She explained what had happened, got out of her car, with her purse in it , and left with her friend.
They returned about forty five minutes later, only to find that her car had been broken into. Someone broken the window in her car, and stole her purse. She went through the normal routine, she called the police and they came out and filed a report. She was so upset, and she didn't know what she was going to do. You see, in her purse she had her driver's license,her check book, her social security card, her cell phone, and other important documents. She knew she would have to de-activate her phone, get a new driver's license and social security card, etc. One of the main things she was concerned about was her broken window.
So that afternoon she headed off to a junk yard to try to find a window for her car. She came across this gigantic junk yard with acres and acres of junk cars. She approached the man in the office asked if he had a window for a 98 toyota camry. The man said I am not sure, but you are welcome to go through the junk yard and look. He said, by the way, what in the world happened to your forehead? She rolled her eyes at him, and combed her hair down over her forehead. Then she noticed how muddy the place was, and how high the weeds were. She thought to herself, I should have worm tennis shoes instead of these high heels. Nevertheless, she started walking through fields looking for a car like hers, hoping to find a window. She must have walked for for miles in her high heels looking, but had no luck. Her feet began to hurt, so she decided to head back and go home. She walked around for hours,and still couldn't find her way back to where she started from. That's when she realized she was lost, and she began to get scared. It was beginning to get dark and she thought, I bet all kinds of creatures come out at night in this place. After a while she got so tired, she climbed up on one of the junk cars , and fell asleep. The next morning she woke up to find, that she was only ten feet from her car. She got her car and left, vowing to never come to a junk yard again. And needless to say, she was so glad that day was over.
A Love letter With Tears
This is the story of Pam and Tony who met in high school. Pam fell in love with Tony the first time she laid eyes on him. In the beginning, she already knew he would be the love of her life. I know Tony felt the same way about Pam, because his heart would skip a beat, any time he was around Pam. Tony asked Pam to marry him as soon as they graduated from high school. Pam said oh yes! I want to spend my life with you Tony. So! Tony and Pam were married two weeks after they graduated from high school . They would walk through the woods, hand in hand, and Pam showed Tony her secret hiding place in the woods, where she would leave notes in the hollow of a tree. Tony said! why do you leave notes in the hollow of this tree? Pam said, WELL! it comfort's me, and when I am sad, I come here and read the notes I leave in the hollow of this tree. Pam told Tony when her dad died, she left a note to her dad in the hollow of that same tree, telling him how much she missed him. She also told Tony when her mother passed away, she was compelled to leave a goodbye note for her mother in the same tree.
A few weeks later, Tony came home and told Pam he had joined the army. Pam was devastated, and said! why in the world did you do that? Tony began to explain to Pam that he had gotten laid off from his job, and he knew he had to take care of her. He told her he could not find another job, so he decided to enlist in the army, so! at least they would some income. Pam was saddened by the news, but she knew Tony was doing what he had to do. Awhile later, Pam was with Tony, when he left for basic training. And as she watched him leave, her eyes were filled with tears, and she knew she would miss him with all of her heart.
After basic training, Tony got to come home for awhile, and Pam was so glad to see him. She embraced him with all the love she had, and they held one another for a long time. Pam told Tony that she never wanted him to leave her again. THAT is when Tony broke the sad news to Pam. He said oh! my darling, I am going to be deployed to Iraq in a couple of weeks, and I may be gone for a year or so. Pam burst out in tears, and said! I don't think I can live without you for a whole year. Tony said! My dear sweet darling, let's just enjoy the time we have together,and no matter what happens, I will always love you with all my heart.
Two weeks later, Pam with tears in her eyes, said goodbye to Tony, as he left to go to Iraq. She stood there crying, as he boarded the plane, and she stared until the plane was out of sight. Then she went home with her head hung low, and her eyes were swollen from the tears she had cried. After that ,Pam started getting ready for Toney's return. All she lived for was to see Tony again, A few months later she was informed that Tony had been killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq. Pam was overwhelmed, she went to pieces, She cried her heart out, And Pam thought! without my loving Tony, what do I have to live for? Pam was saddened by her lose, and she was ready to give up, because without Toney, what reason did she have to go on. She fell into a deep depression, and for weeks, no one could do anything to comfort her. She stayed by herself, and did nothing but mourn the lose of Tony. One day, she decided she could not take anymore torment. Pam thought to herself, I will go to my secret hiding place in the woods, leave a suicide note in the hollow of that old tree, and end my miserable life. So Pam wrote her note and preceded into woods, to leave it in hollow of the tree, and end her life. When she got there, she knelt down to put the note in the hollow of the tree! and low and behold! right in front was a letter from Her beloved Tony, and it read like this:
My dearest sweet loving darling, I am writing you this letter with tears in my eyes. I came up here when I knew I was going to be shipped to Iraq, because I knew this was your special place, and I sit here my darling with tears in my eyes, as I write you this letter. I knew eventually you would come here and find my letter , babe, I can not stop crying. I thought! in case I did not return from Iraq, it was so important for me to leave you this letter, sorry darling, I am still crying. My tears are falling all over this letter to you my dear, it is getting hard for me to write this. But I know I have to regain my composer, and finish this love letter. I am calm now my love, and I think I can finish this letter to you. If I do not return from from Iraq my sweet loving darling, this much I want you to know. You were the best part of my life, and I would make ANY sacrifice for you. I was so blessed to have you, and my loving darling, I have no regrets. I know it will be hard for you to live without me, but! my desire is for you to pick yourself up, and go on wi your life. It would break my heart, if you gave up your life just for me. So please my daring, I beg you, If I do not come back, do not ever give up, because I will always be there with you in spirit. I end this letter my darling, with tears in my eyes,and my strong desire for you, is that you would make someone else as happy as you have made me. You were the love of my life, and I was so blessed to have you. Goodbye my darling, I wrote you this love letter with tears.
Pam cried as she read the letter from Tony, but she knew Toney's desire was for her to go on. So in time, Pam got remarried, and had two beautiful children. She had a great husband, but she knew Tony would always have a special part in her life....Pam is happy and content now! but at times, she goes back to that hollowed out tree, and leaves a love letter to her special love Tony...
